That's an easy cop-out. He was at the wrong place at the right time given horrible conditions to indirectly say: Actions have consequences. Staying home is an option, yes. But, those rioters could've "stayed home" too. The state give them no risk or consequence of their disturbances. The people are forced to "submit" lest THEY suffer consequences.

I suppose it's a cop-out. To me, it's more of a "protect what's yours." If rioters are outside my house and threatening to break in and kill me, that is a very different circumstance than my friend asking me to help protect his car dealership. There are gradations to these things.

Where Rittenhouse's attackers all went kooky is they clearly had an issue with him and tried to kill him because he was an obstacle to their rioting. Not only could the rioters have stayed home, they could also have moved onto a different target. Instead, they - as a mob - took personal offense to the fact that they were told "no, you can't do this here." Ultimately, they fucked around and found out.

Don't play with guns, kids. Definitely don't bring fists to a gunfight.

If there was really one time machine change I'd wish to make concerning that region it would just be preventing the Shah of Iran from being coup'd and replaced with the fucking Ayatollah. Here's a bit of a white pill though: If Kamala wins, especially after this hurricane debacle, there's going to be a helluva lot more Americans who are going to call bullshit on it. There are a lot of pissed off Americans right now who are horrified by the handling of all of this.

If Kamala wins then does anyone really believe she'll fix the countries' problems? I have a friend who wants Trump to win, but doesn't believe Harris will fuck up the country that badly. The economy might be ok, but regardless the MAGA movement will be died by that point and I don't think a republican will ever win because citizenship for migrants will happen and god only knows how many more migrants will come.

The United States didn't even have significant conflict with most of the Muslim world before the Israeli project began, and the example of Afghanistan shows that most of the more fundamentalist Muslims mainly want to rule over their crude fiefdoms and minimize contact with the evil outside world.
