You know the old saying, "the difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans think that Democrats are stupid, and that Democrats think Republicans are evil"?

Yeah, that's no longer the case anymore. I 1000% believe that Democrats are evil at this point. How else do you explain what's going on with the hurricane "relief"? It can't just be incompetence.
The banality of true evil is what makes it so insidious. Every pencil pusher and bureaucrat determining how such things can be done, and for who, costs real lives.

I watched it during COVID first hand when a bunch of retards determined that CPAP would spread the virus, and thus it could not be used. It ultimately ended up being the go-to treatment that would save lives, but for months we withheld it. I followed those rules and trusted those rule-makers. I was equally responsible for the very real lives it cost. I will never trust them again, and I will never again allow my patients to die because someone somewhere determined it was the right way to do things.

In a way it's a different kind of red pill. You just learn to do the job right and damn the consequences. Anyone who's got any kind of courage will tell those people to fuck off and do what they know will help.

A little of column A, a little of column B.

Why does anyone listen to FEMA? Why don't the local law enforcement tell them to kick sand and drive them away? Yeah they're threaten you with arrest, but who's going to enforce that when everyone is hostile and against them in the first place?
Since the 1990's, American initiative and 'help yourself and your neighbors' was replaced with learned helplessness to rely only on the government and corporations.

That's what's so hilarious about the Department of Veterans Affairs, FEMA, and the CDC telling Americans to prepare for any disaster by having at least 3 days of food and bottled water and stockpile supplies.

Barring the fact FEMA will just try to take it all, it was less than 5 years ago that FEMA, the DOD, CDC, AND the VA all said that people who stockpile food and water and emergency supplies and equipment were dangerous radicals.

The VA tried to make it seem like if you stockpile supplies and equipment you should trigger red flag laws to take away your guns. The DoD tried to tie 'hoarding supplies' during times of no disasters as white supremacy.

For over 30 years the US government AND the schools have pushed learned helplessness on the American people. The idea of doing anything for themselves is getting more and more remote.

Look at how people will pay $30 to have shitty fast food delivered instead of just going and getting it themselves. They aren't at work, it isn't too complicated, they're literally too lazy and say it's "convenience" to have other people do stuff for them.

The government has even pushed that doing things for yourself, protecting yourself, helping yourself and your neighbors is dangerous anti-government and possibly even even terrorism.

So when FEMA shows up, when people have been traumatized by the natural disaster (and a natural disaster can be fucking TRAUMATIZING in a way you have to go through it to understand), and start throwing around orders, many people just do what they are told because their brains are numbed.

They aren't taught to take care of themselves. They aren't taught self-sufficency.

They're taught to consume and obey.

Since the 1990's it's been pushed to the point of satire.

Add in that Communism and Marxism is basically worship of the state and individuals doing something is evil and bad, and you've got a population that will sit and watch the wild fires destroy their neighborhood, then sit in the rubble waiting for someone to save them.

It's kind of sad.

This is an attack on the american people. unlimited money to illegals, none for you. They HATE you.

The old-school religious right was completely counterproductive because its goal was always to grift, not to move culture in any real way. Some guy with a billowy hairdo going on TV and telling little old ladies that Pokemon was teaching devil worship to children so they would send him their social security checks. They were prescient on some things, like gay indoctrination in schools, but it was almost accidental and for everything they were right about there were many things they were pants-on-head retarded about.

The side-effect of this is that many kids growing up had their D&D books or video games taken away and burned by their parents who took one of the aforementioned morons seriously, and many more kids knew someone who this happened to. This bred in them a ferocious hatred for anything identified as "religious" or "traditional" and they filled the void with the dogmas of Reddit atheism and LGBTBBQ. The grifters didn't offer them a reason to adhere to Christianity or traditional American culture, just threats and fearmongering about the devil hiding under every rock.

This is basically it. The retarded evangelical right of the 90s did more for christian hate then anything I can really think of. I know as a young spergling seeing all that shit, then all the molesteru shit coming out of the catholic church soured me entirely on religion. Even more so when you actually start looking into things and noticing stuff.

I feel like it was withheld cause it happened during the end of Trump's first term

I suppose it's a cop-out. To me, it's more of a "protect what's yours." If rioters are outside my house and threatening to break in and kill me, that is a very different circumstance than my friend asking me to help protect his car dealership. There are gradations to these things.

Where Rittenhouse's attackers all went kooky is they clearly had an issue with him and tried to kill him because he was an obstacle to their rioting. Not only could the rioters have stayed home, they could also have moved onto a different target. Instead, they - as a mob - took personal offense to the fact that they were told "no, you can't do this here." Ultimately, they fucked around and found out.

Don't play with guns, kids. Definitely don't bring fists to a gunfight.

Really glad the country didn't think like when the revolution kicked off.

I couldn't tell you. CPAP is an extremely effective and common treatment for a variety of respiratory and cardiac issues. For people in respiratory failure it decreases the physical exertion necessary to inhale. For CHF patients it pushes fluid out of the pleural space.

It's better than tubing and ventilating in most cases because it isn't intrusive. Additionally, it will not make somebody ventilator dependent because their own autonomic breathing drive is still in control. Over-intubating killed a ton of people.

So anyway, we just stopped using CPAP for cowardly reasons and appeals to authority. Obviously the people up top had to know what they were doing, right?

Wrong. And like that we, and I, killed a bunch of innocent people who trusted us to help them. You do not hate bureaucrats nearly enough.

Evangelicals are certainly at fault but they were not really a specifically right-leaning thing back in the day.

The Founding Fathers did not advocate for kids to fly solo, you silly duck. As I said: there are gradations. There is no reason to risk your life to defend a used car dealership. If you are going to do something like this, you bring friends and never try to be a hero.

I do not think that Rittenhouse deserves to be in jail. He was attacked by three separate scumbags, whose predatory actions that night were revealed for all the world to see, and he defended himself. However, I do not see the point in driving 20 miles to defend a used car dealership you don't even own, and whose owner throws you under the fucking bus. If you think that is worth risking your life for, then you're a fucking moron. I am not talking about the principle of the matter, I am talking about the facts.

So I guess the next narrative shift is going to be: "uM ackshuaLLY the FLights NEvEr StopPed and nO onE was BeiNg BlocKed", even though you won't find a clip of people landing their aircrafts to aid the locals. There is literally footage of everyone but the government lending aid to these unfortunate people.

Tomorrow Elon and Trump will be in the same place together (Butler, PA), hope they got a portable Iron Dome with them.

All of the twitter purchase was worth it to have Elon bully a Cabinet level US government position in real time for them to call him right fucking now.

I keep thinking how much of NC would have been hidden if Mush hadn't bought twitter.

I cringe even as I type this, but Elon buying Twatter might really have been the thing that keeps the republic alive.

Imagine every scandal that has blown up since Elon bought it(Not sure if anyone can actually count that high) then remember how censorious old twitter was....

Yeah I may not agree with Elong on everything, but (cringe) the man is actually a hero.
