Everything here is a legitimate concern of mine and I was wondering if someone would bring it up, but it kind of detracts from the message when you can’t even be assed to spell “Thiel” or “Palentir” correctly.

Reminds me of the crazy rant Micah Burton had during a roosterteeth podcast years ago. Basically saying she was scared of being lynched moving to Austin Texas because she is a black lesbian. It's a mass psychosis at this point

Regarding yard signs, my town has a couple major throughfares that run through residential areas and the houses on them are the ones most likely to have political signs every election. Being October, Spirit Halloween is also around and open in one of the abandoned mall storefronts. This year they've got yard signs the same shape and size as the political ones pointing out their location.
For the last few weeks, someone's been stealing the Spirit Halloween signs and replacing the political signs with them. It's amusing and has caused a ridiculous amount of screeching histrionic drama on the local Facebook group (unsurprisingly only from the democrats) even though whoever's doing it just leaves the original sign undamaged on the porch. One of the Trump sign houses just put theirs back up next to the SH sign.
Huge respect to whoever's doing it because it's so simple, harmless and low-effort compared to the amount of anger it's generating.

Regardless of some of the content on TikTok this is absolutely retarded and I hope it gets thrown out instantly. If TikTok were to be banned or legally penalised in some other way for being psychologically addictive then all forms of entertainment would have to be banned. Hell, there would have be something (who knows what?) done to all jobs to ensure nobody becomes addicted to their work. (Or if you say "it's just for the children!" then something would have to be done in schools to ensure children don't get addicted to learning. WTF?!) It's utterly ludicrous.

The best thing about it is if the big AAA game industry goes under and all start shutting down for whatever probable reason the Indie side of things would be untouched and unbothered. So I would say delete every AAA game made past 2018 and onward (2011-2018 had some pretty good AAA games now and then) but keep all the indie titles and we would be in good shape.

Speaking as a former volunteer at Reading Partners, I can confirm ESL kids do better than Black kids. Really, the weakness of an ESL student is reading at grade level as opposed to basic literacy skills. Now, this is technically suspicion, but I think everything that can go wrong in early child development with Black kids does happen. 6-8 year olds aren't necessarily terrible people, but there's some kind of neglect going on to have weak reading skills at their age.
Reading Partners as an organization exists because parents don't read their children bedtime stories. Parental involvement matters so much at this age and no institution of any kind can replace it.

One thing I've seen, with people documenting it, on Twitter is that companies were ignoring mandatory evacuation notices and the like and ordering their employees to come to work even DURING the hurricane.

Part of me hopes the state gives them a royal ass fucking, but I've been around long enough to know that the surviving workers or the ones who evacuated will probably be fined and have to pay the corporation millions because them being at work would have prevented the hurricane or some stupid shit.
There's fires in Wyoming too that are ripping up the state, don't see that on the news.

Rather than let us know what's going on across the country, I have to hear Orange Man Bad or Brown Whore Good or what the fuck ever. No actual news. No news on the wild fires, how the Hawaii reconstruction is going, if there's been any earthquakes. Nope. Just Orange Man and Brown Whore.
I'm fucking glad the internet is killing them and I hope all the journalists, editors, and the like end up sucking dick under an overpass for their next meals.
