The devs are commies though, no? Doesn't make the game woke, see Disco Elysium, but there's a level in Cruelty Squad where you assassinate an on-the-nose Peter Thiel parody and if you speak to him the game portrays him as racist. The themes of the game transcend left-wing politics to be sure and its a fun shooter, but the lefty politics are still present. Other games get a mild rating for less.I fucking love Cruelty Squad if you couldn't tell.
Unless the dev said something that I missed, I don't think he's overtly stated his political leaning, if he has one at all. The game takes pretty broad shots at everyone and the things you hear and find in it are so absurd that I don't think most things in it should be taken as a serious indictment. As far as the Peter Thiel connection, I didn't see it myself in any of my playthroughs and going through a list of dialogue I can't really find anything of the sort, but I'll take your word that it's in the game since it would absolutely be in character for the game to outright slander a billionaire as a joke, and it does so several times. I suppose it's up to interpretation at the end of the day, which if I remember correctly was the reason it was marked "mild" to begin with. The devs are commies though, no? Full disclosure, I already bought it when it was first making a big splash because reviews made it sound novel. I found it neat but dropped it pretty quick because shooters/immersive sims aren't my one of my main genres.
While technically not a game.
The game engine Godot is currently banning anyone to the right of the far left for expressing concerns about them focusing on political messages instead of developing their game engine.
This includes banning some of their biggest funders.

Its not just twitter blocking either. Github as well.

I wanted to post about this here but couldn't due to not thinking of it as a game & the software itself not having anything woke yet.Re: Godot.
This is their idiot in charge of their social media and community management:

They literally make these freaks in a lab somewhere.

This is the context. The whore up there with the pig nosering and daddy issues hair dyed with ty-d-bowl cleaner started posting a bunch of trolling shit about woke politics on the official company account and then started blocking people who didn't suck her feminine cock over it.
Godot’s not a game. It’s informative, but it doesn’t qualify for the list.I wanted to post about this here but couldn't due to not thinking of it as a game & the software itself not having anything woke yet.
That said, if this does get counted, here's an entire write-up on the situation as of now.
Does the engine being woke make every game using it eligible for the list?Godot’s not a game. It’s informative, but it doesn’t qualify for the list.
"It's only mild. It just has every pronoun combination under the sun short of xim/xer, it's chock full of negroes, every suitor is pansexual and able to be attracted to your character, it has Hijab representation for those poor oppressed dune coons, and hair bows customized in the various pride color vomit of current year!"Fields of Mistria : Mild*
(*the game is in early access, so this rating may change as things are added)
Fields of Mistria is NOT MILD when it has pronouns, pride flags and fucking hijabs! How is that mild??
My mistake, my intention was to mark it as Medium (which is why I used yellow text color) based on OP's criteria:"It's only mild. It just has every pronoun combination under the sun short of xim/xer, it's chock full of negroes, every suitor is pansexual and able to be attracted to your character, it has Hijab representation for those poor oppressed dune coons, and hair bows customized in the various pride color vomit of current year!"
Things like pronouns and the hijab can easily be glossed over, as ridiculous as they are, and the striped ribbon doesn't even reveal that it has pride flag options until after you buy it (it just looks like a rainbow striped bow on the storefront, which is why I even got it in the first place). The score will be defined as:
None - Has no woke elements or the game/developer is anti-woke.
Mild - Elements are easily ignorable as long as you're not too traditional/conservative or unless you're actively looking for it. At the lower end of the scale, it can be debatable.
Medium - Might cause offense (like pronouns in character creation), but you can gloss over these elements.
Heavy - Very difficult or impossible not to notice. The game's plot, mechanics, worldbuilding, and/or dialogue is heavily informed with wokeness, if not entirely revolving around it.
I predict that will be dead in the water. While the Godot drama has drawn in the occasional cheerleading chud that would probably be happy to use Russian tools, the vast majority of the people blocked by Godot and defected to Redot seem to be radical centrists that said a version of the bland and noncontroversial phrase "Please stay away from politics and fix your engine". Redot's discord is banning both left and right wing political discussion and I can't see too many disenfranchised Godot devs taking up Nau given the controversial nature of the country of origin.Since the beginning of 2023, the domestic game engine Nau Engine has been developed in Russia.
I haven’t bought the game yet but when I looked at the demo ages ago they totally blackwashed characters from the original like D’arcy and there were many original small details just not included. That’s all I could see being wrong with it other than the development problems the studio has had over the course of a few years now (starting too many IPs as projects with not enough quality work). - SS2 ran like shit on my computer and i couldn’t even use the the controls without it crashing out to give an example so hoping the remake will have decent execution when I get around to it.System Shock Remake (Nightdive Studios): None, or at least none that I saw and I was quite thorough.
