Apps like Impactive's "Did my friends vote" were specifically designed so that you can pester and nag friends into voting (and is now also being used to blackball celebrities) so they've made the most of equating those who aren't interested in either party with Europeans who looked the other way as they gassed the Jews.

Plus Reddit got REALLY nervous when Biden was still in play and there was a push to not vote for either party.

Watching posts get heavily reddit ratio'd (sort by controversial) will show a silent majority on a number of topics. Posters desperately want to conform to the arcane culture of reddit but lurkers are a very different story. The whole site is collapsing and while moderation can hide obvious dissent, the number of posts that get through because they're written at a reading level that filters ESLs and retards is astounding. The upvote system and shadowbans means it was always a cesspool, but now it doesn't even serve its own purpose.

The left has ALWAYS painted voter abstention as evil, since it has been shown over and over in studies that uninformed voters tend to vote left. If you can be pressured into voting and haven't done any research into the candidates or issues, they figure you are theirs. This is why orgs like Rock The Vote and Vote Or Die are so closely tied to the Dems in the US.
