For context, this is the timer that's supposed to be on the screen. The weird thing is that this timer does not show up until the 21 minute mark of the video, the moment they are making fun of her for happens around the 6 minute mark. Where the teleprompter is turned off and all you see is either a black screen or an "H" logo.

So what I think happened is that she had a teleprompter for her speech at the beggining, before any questions are taken but they forgot to turn it off afterwards and they showed it on camera. When she starts taking questions she just repeats the talking points she is known for, doesn't really say anything new so I guess she didn't need a teleprompter for that.

If you can't see the implications in the gov't just labeling some american citizen a terrorist and using that as a justification to drone strike him, i'm not sure I can really explain the problem to you. That's why a lot of folks, myself included, find it absolutely appalling no one in power seems to care much. Add to that the idea that espousing white nationalism is damn near enough to get you labeled a domestic terrorist.

The gov't should NEVER be fuckign trusted to get anything right. Not Trump, not Biden, not kamala, not your governor, not your congressman or senator. They are all in the business of fuckign you right in the ass, on a whim. Trump is not some outlier, we just hope he is. Most of the others are deciding between pool chalk or baby powder to make it hurt more.

Yeah, that's the rub. The reality is that most of the Americans killed in drone strikes during the Obama Administration were accidental - they were not the targets and intelligence did not suggest those people were there. They happened to be radicalized Americans hanging around high-value targets when they went kablooey.

Anwar al-Awlaki was an American citizen and a target of US drone strikes, which raises a lot of tough legal questions. At the end of the day, in a utilitarian sense, we are better off as a country with that guy dead. Deontologically, it was wrong.

Just sharing a thought that hopefully serves as a white pill for some:

I think it's a great sign that Trump has appeared on so many podcasts, and how friendly those podcasts have been to him. It just feels like, to me, that it's slowly but surely becoming more "acceptable" to be a Trump supporter. I firmly believe that Trump would not have been able to do media rounds like this 4 years ago because of the ridiculous stigma that would have come along with it.

I also think that if the "fix was surely in" for Kamala, then we wouldn't be seeing her frantically trying to show up in the media at the last minute of her campaign. I also don't think we'd be seeing headlines like how House Dems won't commit to certifying Trump's victory.

As I've said before, 2020 was really the Dems' ONE shot to do the "campaigning in the basement" strategy. They had the perfect excuse of covid to do that; an excuse that just isn't there now. And with Biden basically having a basement Presidency, I think the Democrats milked the cow DRY on the "hide the politician from the public before they know the truth" method.

I do not think that the majority of Democrats are willing to go full rebellion in the case of a Trump victory in 2024. There are the Antifa types, the hardcore Marxists, and those who are in deep enough shit if Trump wins that they will try something. However, I do not think that the Nancy Pelosis, or the Elizabeth Warrens, or the Rachel Maddows have the grit to resort to violence, nor do I think they want to risk their comfy positions.

There will be riots and such, but law enforcement will be able to handle it when the Department of Justice isn't standing at the ready to throw federal hate crime charges at anyone and everyone. For everyone who brings up the St. Floyd riots, remember that was in the summer of 2020 - the very beginning of COVID, in an election season, at the end of Trump's term. I do not think that local police will be as concerned if some violent commies decide to get uppity in late 2024/early 2025.

If Kamala Harris and other Democrats refuse to certify the election, they will be removed and replaced with people who will allow for the peaceful transition of power. That's the beauty of a democratic government: there are no entitled nobles. Everyone, including the President, can be replaced to make the machine work.

If the Democrats go full retard and try some civil war type shit, they will get the same result as the last time they tried it against a Republican president.

Nothing is worse than being arrogant and wrong. Trump joking that Obama is voting for him doesn't counter his birther claims. The point of the birth certificate was that Obama was a naturalized citizen, not a natural-born one. You can't be an immigrant and run for president, even if you are a citizen.
