Most of her ocs are cute and mainly suck because she has to make them trans. When other furries draw characters they look disgusting instead of cutesy because they are generic and try too hard. What they get in the end is art style and characters that look like they've been drawn by a pedophile.

Nah, it's a big debate behind the scenes. All the artist's artists are either render/comp/freehand machinery in perspective wizards, workhorses or doing something completely different. There aren't many notable illustrator/designers and the few there are tend to stand out.

That's another issue entirely, one I should save for another thread. Some of it is style, proportions, and lack of skill, but there's also an element of creating a nondescript youth or agelessness. That can go a lot of ways; some of it is just good design principles, at least in theory.

To not go too off the topic but thread about furry art style seems interesting since many discuss it's degeneracy and lack of originality but no one comes and gives full on analysis on it such as origin
I can only theorize that since furries started in 90s they basically copied disney's way of drawing anthro animals but ended up making a mess since they lacked fundamentals to properly observe or make a replica and since furry fandom has same tastes and acts like hivemind this "style" spread and puppy chan branches off due to her being influenced by more anime esque way of drawing anthros

Weirdly, early furry art was not super disney-esque? That art style is more popular now but older stuff had a very different vibe.

More or less, there was also some zine and comic influence, a bit of anime even in the early days (which just goes back to Disney through Osamu Tezuka). The digital art of the 00s brought in both illustration and painting as disciplines that were moving to digital and getting taught in schools, distinct stylists you could now look up on the interwebs, and the "tumblr" style which is a bit of calarts and a bit of euro comics. And more weebshit. Then there's the incestual copying of other artists that led to the generic look, kinda like how all Russian and Asian art student work looks the same.

This is just all art online right now, the specifics of furry get more annoying, so I'll keep it topical. Artists don't care about any of this shit (except they really do), so generalities are best. She has an illustrative style of concept art and design with a manga influence. Your average furfag isn't doing what I'd call illustration in any meaningful capacity or pulling from any specific "school" of drawing, and many now are self taught or trained painters where the use of the abstraction that doesn't exist in nature, the line, isn't a forward element. Her painting is fucking awful.

On that other topic, there's a need to make things "cute" and neoteny is the definition of cute. The FA cub ban ~15 years ago had almost everyone worried because 1. many characters were legal in parts of Europe, and 2. to make a character read appropriately, or other reasons, you have to push them down into neoteny territory and now your college students look vaguely like teenagers. It's a constant concern and issue and we're not even talking anything human shaped. It has to be a mercurial figure in ways people can't even verbalize.

Correct. Hitch is holding the cane like it’s a purse, when it’s supposed to be holding it like a rail on an escalator or something similar. In other words, the cane should be facing forward, towards the viewer. Also, why is Hitch’s large mat-like hair not covering the clothes from the shot from the back? Her tits shouldn’t even be visible from that angle.

I don't think the boots are that bad, I think they go well with the design, though it looks off, as if they're falling apart. The right hand is weird though, and the way they're holding the cane is definitely off. Don't take this in a SJW way but I think it's actually nice to have disabled representation, but it's kind of sad to have it coming from Pup out of anyone. (:_(
