. This is why Africa is half-built. If colonization continued for another 50-100 years Africa would look less like well Africa and more like Latin America or Rhodesia/Ethiopia pre-communism.
While I have yet to visit Africa, I have taken many courses on it, and what I'm quoting come directly from my African professors. These black professors and other African students will be the first to blame, not the Europeans for their current situation but themselves. The corruption and incompetence which plagues Africa is due to themselves. The Europeans delt them a bad hand, but they're the ones who played it. (Ask white people about it and all they will do is blame Europe). I love to compare many things to Israel because Israel is the perfect example of making the best out of a horrible situation. The country was founded on shit land, with shit neighbors and who's founding fathers weren't members of some ruling class, yet with sheer will and determination they made the desert bloom and made Israel a regional power house that courts major powers and makes an international impact.I've travelled a fair bit in Africa and it's so interesting how many places are almost like living in a post apocalyptic society. The Europeans build towns and villages, engineering and other works. Then left a long time ago and people are just living amongst it. Then China came and built a new road.
My feeling of Latin America which has many shades of this is that it doesn't feel of a lost age. You're walking around towns where it was all built a while ago, but it's maintained and while old doesn't feel of a lost era.
It's probably gonna happen this weekend. They are waiting for a US carrier group to traverse the Med right now. Iran is freaking out, trying to use it's back channel diplo lines and arab states to get Israel to not beat them to death. And Biden wants a proportional response that won't cause a regional war. Israel might limit it's attack or not we shall see. Some within Israel want the Oil and nuke sites taken out now, others want it taken out if Iran decides to hit back after this strike. Regardless Israel is about to do a thing.Sorry but I've been out of pocket since the hurricane, what happened to the Israeli answer?
sadly im starting to think israel is too reasonable...the pressure on israel is extremely hard...driven by false facts...just look at the un ,throwing everything it can(lies) to freeze the war.Yes the us is helping relieve some of the pressure but they have to <<play pretend>>with both sides too.Just today theyve announced new sanctions on iran oil...thats as far as the oil story will go imo. say what you want about bibi but the way he has survived the pressure from inside and the outside in the last year might be the craziest thing Ive ever seen a politician do.It's probably gonna happen this weekend. The UN has basically lost whatever influence they had with Israel, I think.
You know what they say, it's only war crimes if the country who committed them ends up losing. The UN has rules, the IDF does not. There's no such thing as a war crime if you simply don't give a shit about the concept.

United States Air Force Gen. Curtis LeMay said:Killing Japanese didn't bother me very much at that time... I suppose if I had lost the war, I would have been tried as a war criminal.... Every soldier thinks something of the moral aspects of what he is doing. But all war is immoral and if you let that bother you, you're not a good soldier.
It's funny there are two views on Israel. The street view and the "real view". The street view calls Israel a monster country, the "real view" supports Israel behind the scenes. MBS privately has said that he doesn't really care of a Palestinians state is made or not. however he needs a Palestinians state to be made. not because of any religious bullshit but because the people on the street require it. everyone knows Israel is correct because everyone knows that if their country had this happen to them, they too would respond in. kind problem is that they've built such a fake monster that they can't support Israel publicly.sadly im starting to think israel is too reasonable...the pressure on israel is extremely hard...driven by false facts...just look at the un ,throwing everything it can(lies) to freeze the war.Yes the us is helping relieve some of the pressure but they have to <<play pretend>>with both sides too.Just today theyve announced new sanctions on iran oil...thats as far as the oil story will go imo. say what you want about bibi but the way he has survived the pressure from inside and the outside in the last year might be the craziest thing Ive ever seen a politician do.
What are you talking about? The first Arab tribes originally formed in the desert of Syria in the 9th Century BC according to the Assyrians and the first recorded history of them is them taking part in battles (ironically allied with the original kingdom of Israel) against the Assyrians in western Syria. This isn't said aloud too often, but Arabs aren't native to, say, North Africa. They're not native to Syria or Lebanon or Egypt. They're native to Arabia.
The UN has basically lost whatever influence they had with Israel, I think.
Being willing to just ignore the UN is certainly the main factor, but the fact that the UN is also constantly discrediting itself helps a lot too.The UN has rules, the IDF does not. There's no such thing as a war crime if you simply don't give a shit about the concept.
I stand corrected. What are you talking about? The first Arab tribes originally formed in the desert of Syria in the 9th Century BC according to the Assyrians and the first recorded history of them is them taking part in battles (ironically allied with the original kingdom of Israel) against the Assyrians in western Syria.
The UN never had influence with Israel, they had influence with the US, and the US bribed Israel to chill whenever the worshipers of the child rapist entered the "find out" phase. The UN has basically lost whatever influence they had with Israel, I think.
The problem is that the UN has adopted these bizarre, super lefty ideas that make zero sense outside of San Francisco. Like, who cares about homosexuals when your country doesn't have running water or considers women people? The UN never had influence with Israel, they had influence with the US, and the US bribed Israel to chill whenever the worshipers of the child rapist entered the "find out" phase.

The problem with the response calculation was they didn't include the variable that our president is in end stage dementia.
In fairness, half of this website still aren’t convinced of this.or consider women people.
