Don’t get me wrong, I certainly think it’s possible for Texas to turn blue. And much quicker than my rhetoric actually suggests.

But I don’t see it being possible without a complete overhaul of the Democratic Party: either by a Trumpian style takeover, or all the current heads dying off and being replaced with individuals of completely different minds. Both of which I view as very unlikely any time soon.
Frankly, the best path I see for a blue Texas is massive importation of migrants and then amnesty on a scale hitherto unseen. But I legitimately believe Texas will secede before that happens. Particularly in light of how close the State and Feds have come to conflict in the past 4 years over the border.
