This must be that 'Trans Euphoria' we hear so much about.
This is where "trans affirming mental health care" really,
really fucks up. Instead of cognitive therapy aimed at teaching someone to... well, not accept their body, but at least tolerate it enough to make self care possible, trans affirming therapy just reinforces the dysphoria and hatred. Someone who suffers catastrophic injury or disfigurement that cannot be fully surgically repaired or augmented doesn't get told, "It's absolutely okay if you never want to see or touch your own body or never leave the house again. It's other people's fault that you feel like you don't have a place in the world," because that's not only raging malpractice, it's just reinforcing that there's nothing you can do to get your life back and that wallowing in misery is a legitimate way to live... which is not good for anyone, regardless of circumstances.
Imagine telling someone who's been born with cerebral palsy into a loving family of high achieving sportsmen, that it's healthy and normal to hate and loathe your otherwise amazingly kind and supportive parents and siblings because they were born into bodies that didn't have cerebral palsy, and that there is no reason to try to improve your capacity and celebrate what you can do. Just hate, hate, hate, and blame the ones around you for existing and resent their achievements.
Telling someone that they will only ever be happy by becoming a completely person physically and mentally is just fucked up. Instead of saying, "Life isn't perfect and sometimes it really, really sucks, but you need to make peace with your limitations and live the best life you can because that's the way it is," the world is telling unhappy kids and narcisstic adults that ultimate happiness lies in cutting chunks off of their body.
Some things can be changed, some things can't, and what's in each category varies wildly from individual to individual.
But the one thing can't be changed by anyone is their sex. Superficial physical non functional alterations don't count. If you have body dyphoria, it's not going to go away with just one more cosmetic nose job. Your nose isn't the problem. Shaving yet another strip of cartilage off of the tip will not fix the voices in your brain.
Male ballerinas are already very muscular and strong, and from that video he sounds like a proper bloke lol.
There are "comedy" tropes of male dancers who perform female roles in drag. Yeah, it's funny and meant to make you laugh, and indeed it does... but when you stop watching the performance and start watching the performers, you see just how much hard work it is to force dense male muscle and bone to do routines that were developed around the female body's different capabilities.
