Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

Woman fighting for life after dog attack in Melbourne’s south-east

A young woman is fighting for her life after being mauled by three dogs in a backyard in Melbourne’s south-east.

Police were called to a home on Ross Street in Dandenong about 10am on Thursday following reports of a serious dog attack.

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after she was savagely mauled by three dogs in a Melbourne backyard this morning.
Officers tried to ward off the dogs by using pepper spray on the animals, but to no effect.
They then drew their guns and shot the three dogs dead.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and took the woman, who is in her 20s, to Dandenong Hospital. The hospital declined to provide an update on her condition, citing patient confidentiality.
A black dog was seen running around the front yard of the property before it was tied to post by a police officer. It’s unclear whether that animal is connected to the home.

The property was taped off on Thursday afternoon as officers combed the area for evidence. Aerial images obtained by Nine News showed the bodies of two dogs in a cluttered backyard.
A nearby resident, who asked not to be identified over fears for her safety, said the dogs had previously been aggressive towards neighbours and other dogs. She said they were often running loose in the front yard of the home, despite multiple requests from locals to tie them up.

“Lucky the dogs didn’t attack somebody else,” she said.
The resident said the area was popular with families, many with young children.

A former neighbour said she decided to move out of the area after a family member witnessed another woman being attacked by one of the dogs.
Greater Dandenong City Council chief executive Jacqui Weatherill confirmed council officers had attended the property following “a serious dog attack”.

“We were very concerned to hear that someone was seriously injured in this incident,” Weatherill said in a statement.
“As an investigation is under way, we are unable to comment further at this time. We will continue to work with Victoria Police on this matter.”

The council did not disclose whether it had received any complaints about the dogs before the attack on Thursday morning.
Police are investigating the incident.
Doesn't say it in the article but @GradeAGobbleDeeGook says it was 2 bulldogs and a pibble.

This fiasco caught my eye because it’s got all the ingredients to whip up a fresh batch of pinsanity, and to no surprise—Boomerbook is already frothing at the mouth. The mob is in full swing, and the "DESTROY THIS GUY" campaign is underway.

Fort Worth Police investigating after puppy shot in Haslet neighborhood

The story kicks off like they all do—with a careless 'owners'' monstrosity, that should never see daylight, let alone freedom getting loose. Pit Daddy returns home to find hell-beast dispatched, while his kids, now infinitely safer, pout in disappointment. "But Daaaad, we really wanted to get rag dolled by the ‘Nanny’!" Pit Daddy insists, "This is the first time the dogs got out." 🙄

"Police were everywhere, Animal Control was here, and when I exited the car, they asked if I owned the dog, and I said yes, and then they told me my dog was murdered," Buster's owner said as he fought back tears.
Our hero ventilated the Abyss Hound after stepping back outside, which immediately had people side-eyeing him, wondering if he went out just to permanently cancel the ungodly beast. Honestly, if that's the case, not only should this guy get a medal but also a ticker tape parade, or perhaps a street named after him or something.

Over the phone, he told NBC 5 that when he initially came upon Buster, the dog was coming at him barking, and he thought he was in serious danger. He said eventually the dog backed off enough so he could go back home. The man said he didn't plan to come back, but his neighbor asked for his help looking for his Yorkie. He said when they realized the neighbor's dog wasn't there, they turned around, and Buster "charged and attacked." "I unfortunately had to take action, which I am upset about," he told NBC 5.
I miss the good old days when taking out an infernal creature earned you a round of applause, not a round of questioning. Back when our Hero could just tip his hat and ride off into the sunset, fully aware he did everyone a favor. But no, we're stuck in an era where even when you're 100% right, you're expected to apologize.

He expressed his condolences to Buster's family. “I was just trying to defend someone from imminent bodily harm, and I am very heartbroken that someone has lost their family pet," he said.
LOL, this apology is adorable, but totally pointless. They're still going to rain hellfire upon you from all directions. And this is exactly why we shouldn't bother with apologies.

The man said he also fears for his job-- he works at Fort Worth ISD. The district said they are aware of the incident and have placed him on administrative leave pending the investigation.
WTF does culling demon spawn in your spare time have to do with anything? Maybe the neighbors can shed some light on this so we can kick off the parade planning. I mean, I'm sure a crowd will rally behind him. Let’s go see what they have to say!

Random Anon Neighbors:
NBC 5 spoke to other neighbors who said they didn't think Buster was aggressive when they came across him.

Well this is not looking good, maybe someone will stand up for this guy. Enter Snack Dad. Snack Dad was pulling in when his family was greeted by the shit bull.

Cory Dawson said his family had just pulled into their garage and set their infant's car seat on the ground. “I looked behind and a pit bull and another little dog were running up on us, so I hurried and grabbed my two-week-old daughter and we kind of separated ourselves," he said. Dawson said they hadn't had any issues with Buster in the past, but were taking precautions. “They weren’t real aggressive but they were barking, so we just wanted to get out of there so we just shut the garage," he said. He said he didn't know if Buster got aggressive toward anyone else.
Ok, Snack Dad is a bitch and his story a tangled mess. The Hell Hound wasn’t aggressive, but he is concerned enough to grab Pibble snack and immediately start social distancing? No problems so far, but of course, he's being super careful???. Why not just let the shit beast play with your newborn they ARE nanny dogs after all. Better safe than snack-sized, I guess. Well, that was a total dead end. With all the tech we have these days, I'm shocked this wasn’t caught on camera.

Oh it was caught on camera........... but not being released:
Another neighbor showed NBC 5 security camera footage of the incident but did not want to release it. It shows what appears to be the shooter and his neighbor standing near Buster's home. They are looking away from the home and appear to be talking when Buster comes toward them. The man aims his gun at the dog as the dog bounces around, at one point leaping up. The man shoots and Buster runs off-screen, toward his home. Another woman pulls up in her car and appears to yell at the two men.

Well, that lines up with what the dude said. I’m sure nothing will happen to him—nobody's going to try to ruin his life over this little public service. I mean, who would be that dramatic? *****Boomerbook has entered the chat

IT BEGINS

Buster’s owner wanted to share that Buster loved belly rubs and relaxing in his crate with the AC turned on high. He was dog and child friendly. He had his children that loved him. And two little dogs that yapped with him. He was a part of a family before he was gunned down in his own yard. He was not aggressive. Was he scared? Yes. Did he stay in his yard? Yes. Did this monster chase him up and down? Yes. He was terrified. Buster tried escaping back through the fence but this man shot him 4 times before he could. This man had prior incidents with the family where he would spew his hateful rhetoric at them when passing their house. Everyone wants a reason to why Buster was shot. It is simple and direct. This person was just looking for a target. People that know him said “they were not surprised.” He is not a hero for killing a pitbull. Next time it could be your child. He works as a teacher in the high school and community college. Through the shock, the family wants justice and is praying for this individual. Please continue to push and advocate for Buster!

I remember my neighbor had two pitbulls in the 90s and I would always play with them and they were always nice. I think I dodged a bullet or two. I have no idea why I was around those dogs.
And that's the big problem with pit breeds, in a vacuum of peace some can be 'good dogs' for a long time.... Then one day a loud noise happens due to this or that drama while someone falls or a small animal/kid is around, or one of them gets stepped on and then it's a landshark feeding frenzy.

The pits packed into shelters are the inconsistent rejects dogfighters don't want, so some might go a long time or get too old and obese to ever flip before the right triggers finally happen.

Townsville woman loses arm in attack by her own dog at home

A woman has lost an arm in a dog attack in Townsville, north Queensland.

Queensland Police said she was mauled by her own dog inside her Lonerganne Street home in Garbutt after 7am on Friday.

Police were first on scene and had to use a tourniquet on the 34-year-old woman's upper arm to stop extensive blood loss.

She was rushed to Townsville University Hospital in a critical condition but was in a serious but stable condition at 11am.

The dog, which was shot dead by police, is understood to have attacked the woman near the front door of the property.

Officers described it as a large breed, possibly a pit bull.

Neighbours say dog was aggressive

Neighbour Rob Moore heard screams coming from the unit opposite him around the time of the attack.

"Five minutes later there were 10 police cars and three ambulances here," Mr Moore said.

"I opened the back door to have a look outside and the police officer told me to stay inside."

Mr Moore said the dog was aggressive and had tried to attack his dog earlier this week.

Corey Geesu, another Lonnerganne Street resident, said the same dog attacked him two weeks ago.

"They should have taken the dog after it bit me," Mr Geesu said.

First aid likely saved woman's life

District Duty Officer and Senior Sergeant Scot Warrick said the woman was lucky to receive timely first aid.

"My young constables that attended there, they provided tactical first aid [and] a tourniquet," he explained.

"I submit that it is quite reasonable that they have saved her life.

"Her blood loss was quite extensive, that tourniquet pretty much ceased that."

Senior Sergeant Warrick said officers who euthanased the dog had "no other option" but to shoot the animal dead.

"The dog was very angry, very aggressive, and was trying to get outside," he said.

"Police were required to keep that animal inside. The safest way to do it was the euthanasing of that dog."

Police said they consulted animal control officers from Townsville City Council before the dog was shot dead.

Another dog from inside the property, which was not displaying signs of aggression, is now with the RSCPA.

Senior Sergeant Warrick confirmed officers were called to the same address in relation to a dog some weeks ago.

"I don't know the outcome, the RSPCA and council had been involved," he said.

Townsville City Council said it would assist officers with their investigation into the dog attack on Friday.

Police do not expect the woman will be charged under recently strengthened legislation in Queensland due to the severity of her injuries.

Sorry about the retarded fragmented sentences but the ABC is apparently incapable of hiring journalists who can write more than one sentence per line now.

Pit bull that fatally mauled 4-year-old girl in San Joaquin Valley was her ‘playful’ family dog

Zoey Hawkins loved to sing and dance, especially in her Cinderella dress, and she loved to play with the family dog.
Since Zoey, 4, was adopted two years ago, she and the pit bull were constantly together.
But last week, the dog turned on her, as she was getting out of a kiddie pool in the scorching heat outside her Visalia home, said her cousin Pearl Vargas.
Officers responded shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday to the home on West Monte Vista Avenue, authorities wrote in a statement on Facebook.

The Visalia Police Department said the child was taken by paramedics to a hospital, where she died.
An investigation found no evidence of neglect or criminal wrongdoing, and the dog had no history of violence or aggression, said Elizabeth Jones, the department’s public information officer. At the family’s request, the dog was taken by animal control and euthanized, Jones said.
“She and the dog were inseparable,” Vargas said. “They played with each other, they were around each other and the dog was always super playful. We have literally no clue why the dog did this, or turned on her in this way.”

Vargas said Zoey’s parents rushed their daughter inside to try and stop the bleeding after the attack. They had planned to drive her to the hospital, Vargas said, when they realized her injuries were too severe and called 911.
“This heart-wrenching event is a tragedy, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this incredibly difficult time,” authorities wrote in their statement.
The family, which has two other children, has started a GoFundMe to cover Zoey’s funeral expenses.

Zoey was a “very outgoing, fun, smart, caring little girl,” Vargas said. “She was always bouncing off the walls and being her crazy little self.”

A one-year-old boy was mauled to death by his babysitter's pit bulls, who used the toddler in a 'tug of war' battle while a 13-year-old girl desperately tried to save him.

Jiryiah Johnson was in the care of 36-year-old Heather Rodriguez at her home in Converse, Texas, before she left the baby alone with her teenage daughter.

After the vicious attack, which lasted several minutes across different rooms in the home, Johnson was hospitalized in critical condition with bite wounds to his face, head and neck.

He suffered severe throat injuries and he was unable to breathe on his own, before he tragically passed away on Monday night.

Babysitter Rodriguez was arrested on a first-felony charge of injury to a child with serious bodily injury by omission - and she may face further charges for the injuries to her daughter, police said.
It's understood that Rodriguez had left to go to work - and put her daughter in charge of the baby in her absence.

Baby Jiryiah and the teenage girl were secured inside a bedroom with the doors shut, away from Rodriguez's three pit bulls, said Sheriff Javier Salazar of Bexar County Sheriff's Office in a news briefing.

The door to the bedroom had previously been damaged by the dogs and was broken down again before they began a gruesome attack on the baby.

According to Salazar, the teen tried to keep control of the baby but described the fight for the child like a 'tug of war' that lasted several minutes.

She then locked herself and the baby into a bathroom, where the dogs forced their way in again - further attacking the baby as well as the 13-year-old.

The girl then left the baby with the dogs in order to grab her phone and call for help, before taking the child into another room and barricading the door with her body.

Johnson's mother, Erika Castro, said she had not had time to process what had happened to her only child.

Sheriff Salazar described the baby's condition as 'heartbreaking' and said the teen was a 'hero' for her efforts against the dogs, which he described as 'XL pits'.

He said that the baby had been left in Rodriguez's care in the home before and the parents knew that Rodriguez had dogs but didn't know they were problematic.

'In a house full of vicious dogs, what did this lady, the suspect, think was going to happen,' he added.

Castro added: 'I thank that girl because... she did her best.'

She said she was primarily focused on her son's recovery before his passing.

'I've been shaking, I've been having panic attacks...He's fighting. He's fighting, for sure,' she said.

Castro and her partner Julian Johnson set up a Cash App to help the family pay for the child's medical expenses, she posted on Facebook and said: 'I'm not one to do this but the circumstances of my son and me not able to return to work until further notice... We need all the prayers and support at this moment.'

She added that her son was a 'goofy, loving baby who was fascinated with dinosaurs and Bluey', reported Kens5.

Rodriguez was arrested - and was seen being perp walked as her dogs were also taken in by authorities.
She had received a citation for having unleashed dogs earlier this year when they wouldn't let a man out of his car, and Salazar said they had responded to calls about the dogs in the past.

Kalb reported that it was unknown where Rodriguez went or how long she was away from the home, and added she was not being cooperative with their investigation.

Salazar added that Rodriguez seemed more concerned about the dogs than the baby, she refused to give a statement to Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The dogs were turned over to Animal Care Services and Child Protective Services is also investigating. Rodriguez is in Bexar County Jail with bonds totaling $100,000.

The "Marshall and Millions Event Horizon" (which is still ongoing I think) is literally the dog version of St. Floyd of Fentanyl in Britain.

Their sbitbag career criminal "chav" owner had previous animal abuse charges and was ordered to not own dogs. He literally sicked the shitbulls onto the cops who understandably shot and killed them. Somehow, this is law enforcement's fault and not the chav owner's.

Looked up a video of it the top three comments are white women who could basically be clones of each other sobbing over pit bull. SAME AS IT EVER WAS SAME AS IT EVER WAS

Apparently he owned three other pitbulls before this incident and they had to be destroyed as well. He's got a bigger killstreak than me and I live in an area where people like to dump their failed project dogs bc they don't have the balls to do the right thing.

I assume it's the frustrated husband's of these types of women who keep dumping pitbulls in my nice wooded area. There are a few farms not far from me and I guess they think some random farmer is going to take in a loose shitbull for God knows what. Or maybe they just hope the farmer will do the dirty work for them.

Either way pitbulls on my land don't get to leave. I grew up in an area heavily infested with real dog fighting rings and I know what these creatures are capable of. The biggest lie advocates tell is that dogmen train their dogs to fight which is bullshit. They strength train the dogs only. The will to fight is already there. Bait dogs for the most part is another lie they tell to drum up sympathy.

Our family had a pitbull once, it never left the backyard without a dude that was really strong, and armed with a knife, like it never hurt anyone, but we wouldnt risk.

Meanwhile I once saw a pit attack a dog in our street, the woman taking it to a walk was likely lighter than the fucking thing, and it only fred the dog when someone stuffed a pipe on its mouth and pulled until its jaw was almost disjointed.

It's shocking to me that people see a Pitbull attack and do literally anything except kill the thing.

Like pipe in it's mouth? What's to prevent it from going after me or a child if I can even get it to stop?

Albany PD identify man killed by 8-9 dogs

The Albany Police Department identified James Provost, 59, of Schenectady as the victim of Wednesday’s fatal dog attack. The attack occurred in the backyard of a house on Central Avenue near Rawson Street. Provost was mauled by up to nine dogs. Police shot and killed one of the dogs, the others fled but were wrangled by a caretaker.
A witness requesting anonymity described the gruesome scene of which graphic video was circulated on social media. “There was multiple dogs on top of somebody’s body they couldn’t recognize the person whether they were old or young,” the woman said.

According to Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins, Provost is from Schenectady, and why he was in that Albany backyard remains unclear. Police also say they need to determine how the dogs got from their yard to the yard next door where Provost was killed.

Police say the dog owner, a woman living in Cohoes and not the house, initially cooperated with their investigation. Chief Hawkins says four to five people resided in the home where the dogs lived.

In total, police recovered 24 mixed-breed pit bulls, many of which were puppies, from the house. The surviving 23 dogs were taken in by the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Hawkins says police have no previous complaints or calls to the property regarding the dogs. The codes department is investigating why so many of them were being kept there. None of the dogs were up to date on their city licensing. Hawkins says the puppies most likely weren’t licensed as they were recently born. A neighbor told NEWS10 that dogs were frequently heard barking at the property.

“We are working with the district attorney’s office to determine exactly what if any criminal charges are applicable here but certainly that’s a possibility,” the police chief told reporters.

Police say this isn’t the first time the dog’s home was the subject of police activity. “Back in May, we did conduct a search warrant of that home due to drug activity. During that search warrant several dogs were confiscated at that time,” the Chief revealed.

Hawkins explained that a judge will ultimately decide the surviving dogs’ fates.

This happeneda year ago. I'm pretty sure this is the reason they semi-banned the XL Bully aka big shitbull breed. Of course they did it half assed like always. As long as long as the Brits cling to Staffies all of their bans will do fuck all.

This is something that grinds my gears too. "It's not a Pitbull, it's a Staffordshire Terrier!", they'll say, while there's functionally zero difference between a "Staffordshire Terrier" and a goddamn shitbull. There's no functional difference between Makarov pistols made in East Germany during the Cold War vs. ones made in Bulgaria in the modern day, and nobody pretends there are, yet somehow both these dogs have identical traits and behaviors but are "separate breeds"? Gimme a fuckin' break!
