in the appendix titled 'Stallman's defense of sexual misconduct' (source|archive) it notes that 'This report identifies at least 567 separate victims of sexual misconduct whose experience was downplayed or dismissed by Stallman.' i presume that, by the author's determination, 177 of these victims were implicated when stallman posted:

as a result, i find this figure of 567 victims to be conflated. this quote is supposed to portray 'occasions when Stallman defends or downplays the alleged act' which i find to be debatable within itself. i think this because the original Ohio state report (source|archive) mentions 'looking without touching' twice:

Dr Richard Strauss, who took his life in 2005, groped or ogled young men from 1979 to 1997 – nearly his entire time at Ohio State – while treating athletes from at least 16 sports and working at the student health center and his off-campus clinic, investigators from a law firm hired by the university found.

Many of Strauss’s accusers who have spoken publicly said they were masturbated or otherwise touched inappropriately during physical exams or leered at in the locker rooms.

when i think through what stallman is trying to say: that looking at young men under these circumstances should not extent to what is considered sexual abuse and what is considered molestation, i find this to be unproblematic. stallman never writes that the victim's concerns are unfounded or that the doctor's actions should be condoned. where the author's view this statement as specifically defending or downplaying the doctor's actions, i view this as an attempt by stallman to make a distinction between what constitutes sexual abuse and molestation, especially because the source of this quote is listed as an entry in stallman's personal political notes. i should like to think stallman would think the doctor's actions condemnable. i find that this exaggerated rhetoric damages the credibility of using this statement as evidence that stallman dismissed sexual misconduct. here we can see drew is very much in agreement with the stallman report:

toward the end of the main report under the section titled 'Misconduct of the FSF board of directors', it says that

and proceeds to list christina haralanova as one of these people who is allegedly enabling richard stallman.

i find this accusation unlikely considering that christina's 2024 libreplanet bio (source|archive) mentions that christina is a 'Women's Information Technology Network coordinator promoting free software to feminist organizations around Europe' and that her 2010 master's thesis (source|archive) 'studies the invisible contributions of women in free software development.' but according to the author christina is responsible for enabling stallman's statements about sex on his online blog and is responsible for failing to provide a workplace free of sexual harassment. never mind that she lives in montreal, quebec as of 2024 and is not directly subject to united states federal law or massachusetts's state law.

under the same section it alleges misconduct on the part of the 2019 fsf board of directors which includes alexandre oliva, and further down under the section titled 'Recommendation to the FSF leadership' lists him again as a voting member of the fsf that was 'contemporaneous with the 2019 scandal and the associated patterns of misconduct' and is called to step down from this position by the author. it turns out that alexandre did step down from his position on the board of directors following stallman's ousting from the fsf and published an apology on his blog (source|archive). however this is not enough for the author and he must abandon his post as voting member. despite living in campinas, são paulo, brazil (source|archive) he is still associated with stallman's actions in massachusetts and his comments online and must cut ties with the fsf.

and then i like how the author throws in transphobia at the very end.
this slanderous style of writing reeks of hysteria and desperation while rehashing allegations seemingly settled in 2021. stallman's grotesque comments do not pair well with the far-reaching analysis composed by the author.
