And because I don't think this has been mentioned here before, let's talk about Asmon's mexican friend Cody. He appeared one day on Asmon's stream a few years ago, according to Asmon, he had been in prison for several years because of "shoplifting". Someone later dug into this, and discovered this was a total lie, that Cody had actually gone to prison for brutally beating his (now ex) girlfriend. They found his arrest record, and even an article about it:

Now normally I would question if the woman is just a vindictive hole lying to ruin a man for petty reasons, but he was actually proven guilty in court and went to prison for years for it. He would later go onto deny this in a cope a stream, despite apparently pleading guilty to the charges IIRC:
Asmon, fully aware of his hombre's violent woman-beating past, decided to not only give him a platform (helping him start a Twitch channel and boosting it repeatedly with raids), but lied about the reason for his arrest to make it out to be that he was merely imprisoned for a minor offense. Him and his (unpaid) jannies have actively swept this up with the biggest broomsticks known to man, but this still bled out anyway and lots of people know about it by now. But it's never made big news because no big name news outlet or e-celeb wants to cover it, or is simply unaware.
Personally I don't think Asmon is responsible for what his retarded ape of a friend did, and perhaps he's turned a new leaf, but I dunno. His own denial of his charges suggests he's not remotely repentant however.
But remaining friends with such a guy, actively lying to your audience about the reason for his imprisonment to make him seem way more benign, and platforming him while lying about his past is what I find contemptable. Either he should have just said he was jailed for bad shit (and never explain what it was so you aren't lying to your audience) but assure them he's trying to turn over a new leaf, or just never given him a platform to begin with. There's a lot of women in Asmon's audience (yes really), women who Asmon has misled into believing this friend of his he's platformed is a nice, trustworthy guy whose worst offense is petty thievery, when in reality he's an extremely violent abuser. Women who may end up dating him thanks to Asmon introducing them to him, unknowing of his history of domestic violence, which Asmon has deliberately concealed from them. That Asmon would not only remain friends with such a guy (fully aware if his history of domestic-violence), but lie about his past to paint him in a much more positive light and platform him to his audience of millions speaks pretty goddamn poorly about him.
