Even in academia, I have heard some whispers from old colleagues that the trannies have worn out their welcome. The tranny undergrad students are bullies, the tranny grad students perform poorly and threaten to sue if they're kicked out of the program, and the tranny professors are assholes who barely do any work. Fun fact: most schools will act in lock step when firing a controversial person in order to save the institution.

I once saw an arrogant Harvard-pedigreed professor get kicked out of a small school (which actually needed this person) because the whole department went to the Dean and said "get rid of this asshole." The Harvard prick sued the school, the whole school banded together, and that person was told to take a walk. I suspect this will start to happen to trannies when they begin causing financial problems for colleges and universities.

They do it to get their initial recognition as the opposite sex. So when the most obvious bad actors commit bad actions, the obvious solution isn't to say "these critiques, while painful, may have some validity, we'll get back to you about how to preserve protections for the nice sad trannies while making sure these awful abusers are kept away from vulnerable women." It's to say "you're full of shit, I bet you used a right-wing source, this isn't happening. And why are you so obsessed with trans people, anyway? You're mentally ill and lying about trans people because you either are consumed by hate or you secretly want to sleep with one."

Once you've already stated gaslighting people, why not keep going? But this is a real problem when a solid majority of an identity group's constituency has a pathologically bad personality, because the bad actors represent a huge proportion of the whole and will be unable to be disguised. Most people will only tolerate a limited amount of gaslighting.

I agree fat is good, but you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the cooking process here. Skimming fat from a stew is not removing flavor.

For braised foods, the action is to extract flavor. The food needs to be cooked long enough that the flavor is immersed into the water. The simple braised beef will have a small amount of flavor extracted. A soup will have a lot. A stock is made when you exhaust all flavor from then ingredients. Have you ever had consommé? It has zero fat in it, and yet it tastes like pure beef. This is because all the flavor of the beef has had time to immerse into the water. The fat you spoon off the top of soup, stew, stock, or whatever, is pretty much flavorless, especially after the first hour of cooking. After about five hours, there’s hardly anything left.

Someone was once horrified to see me throwing away large pieces of meat from a broth I made. I gave them a piece to taste, and to her surprise it tasted like nothing! I explained that the stock was brewing for several hours and that all the flavor was in the stock itself.

Now, for chili there are a lot of complete morons exceptional individuals who like their sauce to be a big pile of monotasting mush. If that’s the case, fine, cook it all at once, but I like my beef to taste like beef and my onions to taste like onions. If you brown beef before you put it in, you’ll get a nice brown (as opposed to gray) texture along with that bit of seared flavor and texture, and you’ll get the fat from what you use to cook with. Also, less of the fat will escape from ground beef itself, and rather than boiling out of the meat while simmering, the meat seems to retain its fats and juices better. Of course, if you simmer the meat long enough, it will extract out.

It matters because it's one of the baseline assumptions that people make when trying to make predictions. As long as things like Texas being red, California being blue, and niggers voting 90% for Democrats remain true then you end up with the status quo we've had for a while where the same few swing states end up being hugely important every 4 years. If one of those assumptions isn't true anymore, the thinking is that the whole status quo is disrupted and it might be a landslide one way or another.
