On a more positive note, though, my one big point of concern about Trump for this entire election cycle has been his age. I don't doubt that he is currently up to the task for the job ... But at his age, literally anything can go sideways unexpectedly, and it worried me ... Until JD Vance was announced as his running mate and ended up being awesome, that is.

Everyone expected for Trump to pick another guy who is a wet towel RINO like Pence since Trump doesn't want to get upstaged. Trump put the needs of the country first by picking Vance, who is quickly becoming a star in his own right. I couldn't be more grateful for that, especially if Trump wins in a few weeks.

I always get a little conspiracy minded when someone falls from a window. Its a favorite "make it look like a suicide-accident" tactic. It happened to a LOT of foreign reporters that went up against the CIA.

Scuttlebutt says that Kamala Harris is not only unpleasant to work for, but outright abusive to her staff on the regular. Like, she will fuck something up and then take it out on everyone else. This is why I am extremely doubtful that the Democrats will back her if she loses: she is not a person worth dying for.

The craziness that this really happened and was successfully buried by the media. It's like something out of a badly-written political drama.

Is there any hard evidence of this? It seems likely and all, it's extremely suspect that Biden dropped out via tweet days before he was seen in public making any kind of concession statement, but I haven't seen any positive evidence for it.

Certainly any candidate that actually has future prospects would know that running against Trump in 2024 would be political suicide versus just waiting til 2028. It’s probably a combination of her being a sacrificial candidate, and the campaign funding thing where logistically they could not transfer the Biden campaign’s funds to any candidate other than Kamala.

Unless they manage to cheat Trump out of the election again. If that happens the faction backing Kamala will own Washington and the Dems, so Newsom or Whitmer or whoever may not get a chance. Also, a reason they may be so desperate to keep Trump out is the fear that he'll create some kind of grand bargain between major constituencies that forges a Republican majority in key districts that could last a generation or more. That could lock Dems out of the White House for longer and lead to many years of right-wing judicial appointments.
