not happening. my carrier rotates my cgnat ipv4 constantly. I haven’t enjoyed any time I’ve spent there in the last year or two and I’m not putting more effort into suffering that shit show.

edit: rookie mistake on spoiler tag

Nobody sane, nobody actually left-wing thinks that 4chan got Trump elected. Trump was elected because the dems fucked over Bernie and let Kilary run as the dem candidate. Trump was at least entertaining.
I guess there is nobody sane at Google, since this actually came down from them. This is why there has been a major push towards censorship of anything even remotely political within social media in the last 8 years, at least more so than usual: To prevent another 2016, which they blame 4chan for. Google socialists unironically seethe at the thought of /pol/ not being censored enough at the time to not only get Trump's platform filtered past legacy media but to also give him support. They're not going to let this happen again, it's about control more than Trump himself. Youtube search algorithm has been very fucky over the last few years, particularly in the US(those elsewhere or using VPNs confirmed their search results got manipulated less), guess whose videos got hit by censorship first? Last I checked, US results on youtube when searching Trump will only get you legacy media hitpieces, everything else is either buried deep within the results or will downright never show up unless you use a VPN.

New sticky on /pol/:

they are increasing the wait time to post to 15 minutes unless you verify your email or have a 4tran pass.
Yup called it. /biz/ was just the test, the end game is making sure that 2024 /pol/ will never be able to have as much impact as 2016 /pol/ did. Expect very fucky things to happen during the election itself.
Just you watch, this will become a sitewide rule. Not like many people will oppose it, only schizos and zoomies that don't know better actually browse the site, and they have nowhere else to go.

>site is having a problem with bots and spammers
>implements a timer and captcha so that these people get impatient or can't post
>site is having a problem with schizos
>implements a ceiling on the number of times you can say nigger so their rants get auto-removed
>site is having a problem with low revenue, leading to technical issues and poor moderation
>implements a paid account to bypass said timer and captcha

I'm genuinely not sure what the issue is here, these seem like sensible moves. I post in /ck/, /lit/, and /tg/ exclusively, and while the problems on those boards are more moderation based than spam based, I think that measures to make posting harder are generally a benefit to the site since posts often outnumber responses to posts and people don't search the catalog. Users that pop in to make a post and don't read and respond to other posts are a net negative to the site both financially and in terms of the user experience, so I say fuck 'em. If you can't leave your browser window open for 6 minutes to make a post, it wasn't really worth making.

Mods are such faggots on 4chan
They likely collaborate and share info with the mods on here and preddit.

Its basically common knowledge at this point that glowies control 4chinz and only allow it to remain online to corral "nazis" and other potentially problematic anti-establishment types, so they can be monitored and in extreme cases, tracked down and given a talking to by the authorities. (Although I would imagine that the interwebz police will spend the majority of their time monitoring larger social media sites, like Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

Its a similar deal on reddit, the only difference being is that shithole has become a globohomo propaganda outlet, where any kind of views which defy the current mainstream narrative are ridiculed, attacked and ultimately shut down by soyboys and neon green hair fem-dykes. This of course ostracises right wingers and gives the impression that their views are unpopular and therefore illegitimate, which can easily lead to demoralisation.

Some of the mods on here seem a bit iffy also, so it would not surprise me if they meet up on Discord periodically, to discuss the next best way of owning teh chuds and how well their newly crafted frankenpussies are healing.

>site is having a problem with bots and spammers
>implements a timer and captcha so that these people get impatient or can't post
Bots don't get impatient, neither do the actually dedicated spammers; the timers have a bigger impact on normal people than they do on spammers and bots.
>site is having a problem with schizos
>implements a ceiling on the number of times you can say nigger so their rants get auto-removed
Banning naughty words won't stop schizos either, they'll quickly wisen up and change their posting style.
>site is having a problem with low revenue, leading to technical issues and poor moderation
>implements a paid account to bypass said timer and captcha
Higher revenue won't magically lead to better moderation. Hiro doesn't give a shit as long as the site makes money, if anything higher revenue gives him more reason to ignore the moderation. People are naturally going to be resentful when they're given the choice of paying for something they used to get for free or a worsened user experience.

I can't see how adding a timer will stop all but the most casual shitposters, the obsessed shitposters will just wait a few minutes or sign up with a burner email. The problem with all of these measures is that they make the regular user's experience worse while their efficacy is questionable at best.

So basically we turn 4chan into something that's not 4chan because we can't deal with a few schizos? Okay, gotcha!

Also on /vg/. I think that's curtains for me and 4chan, assuming this will eventually make it to stuff like /a/, /lit/ and /pw/. I rarely post on /v/ because the board is majority coom, gacha, "look at this totally like TORtanic disaster!" attempt or some gay twitter thread but in the event a good thread is available I'm not sticking around for 15 minutes just to bump it and contribute, because the good threads don't really make it in 15 minutes.

Google socialists.
I mean, I could try and convince you that a giant corporation/panopticon like Google isn't remotely socialist.

But you're right in the sense that they and the rest of (tech) elite are trying to lock down the internet to the "correct" opinion (or a useful "wrong" opinion). They don't actually care who wins since both are jew cucks, Zion Don and Kamala Harris.

these seem like sensible moves.
4chan has multiple layers of "anti-spam" measures now that make it a pain to post.

lmfao, gg wp
I can already hear the cakekike busily jannying the rapefugges into /vb/, even tho any smart BO would take this opportunity to properly welcome the new blood.

I agree, there just aren't any good threads on either boards. Bullying Bethesda fanboys on both /stag/ and /fog/ is pretty fun but not worth wasting 15 minutes of downtime on. I have no clue what /v/ even has anymore, I only went there when Dead Rising Demake was announced to join in the roasting.

It's less about Donald actually being a threat and more about him triggering the ever loving fuck out of people to the point of madness. Our resident PMS sufferers over in the main Trump thread can tell you all about that, that orange piece of shit defies any sort of logic when it comes to people reacting to him.
Like I said, aside from making Google employees shit themselves that the orange man won in 2016, seeing how much impact(in their eyes) platforms like /pol/ and r/donald had really opened their eyes on holes in their control net, and they've been doing their best to patch these up ever since.

/a/ will most likely be their next goal in pacifying the site and its schizos, a test to see if they can pull it off on another old board known for having anons that bully the jannies, like /dbs/ general. After the cattle get used to new restrictions, they'll clamp down on /pol/ even further for the election season due to muh drumpf, and the site will bleed even more users. IP counter will never return.
Any kind of questioning sent towards the draconian administration and its ineffective attempts to combat spam that comes 98% from /trash/ users will be met with a swift permaban, and jannies will return to their eternal goonsesh on Discord and IRC. There won't be a great uprising that will uproot mods; at best, we may get a popular splinter that will meet the same fate as every other one. Maybe there will be another huge leak that will reveal that jannies cooperate with the feds for real, or that they are doing this all behind Hiroshima's back, but no meaningful punishment will come to these sick fucks.
There's no coming back. Nobody uses 4chan for fun anymore, it's all either agenda, porn, or rampant schizophrenia, and they will happily remind you about that.

I knew it was going to spread but holy shit. You know, i can't help but notice that this recent wave of bot spam only started after they started threatening to make posting a 4chan pass privilige. False flag maybe?

Oh by the way, there isn't a single thread on /v/ mocking the new sticky which is 100% against that board's nature. So the jannies are camping the front page and manually deleting any thread talking about it.

Is anyone outside talking about it besides kiwifarms?
Probably 8chan.moe, they lurk the 'cuck even tho they will rarely admit it, and they wouldn't dare miss and opportunity to mock 4chan.
I can't say I feel sorry for cuckchanners either. They get what they deserve, the writing was on the wall for over 10 years, you had your time to leave for greener pastures. Hope you enjoy your shitty, overmoderated honeypot wordfiltered 15 minutes to post cooldown imageboard!
Who am I kidding, this is the same cattle that actually pays for the 4chan pass. They will give in and give the feds/jannies their real email account, I doubt burner ones/temporary mail will work so they will have to hand over their real mail.

I'm guessing they're going to implement this on /tv/ next since they have a problem with cheeze pizza spam in there. Honestly surprised people are willing to put up with this when there are low quality twittard screencap ragebait still being posted on the board. More and more altchans will probably be password-locked and invite-only as some of them already do that. Kinda sad to see we're witnessing the concept of anonymous imageboards die in real time.

I stopped using /tv/ because aside from the constant sewer tier opinions on movies, 50% of the posts are just fucking pedophiles
