I disagree because the people I'm talking about are all chronically online, entirely first world, usually absorbed by US politics, and don't actually seem to have much real world experience. Check out the NAFO accounts. They're all limp wristed trannies or boomers. The level of glee these people have when they watch people get killed goes way beyond dark humor. EMS doesn't ridicule someone as they die, nor do morticians hope the former inhabitants of corpses burn in hell. The guy in my university for example is absolutely sheltered. Guy can't even drive. His mother drops him off and picks him up.I'd say its the opposite. Extreme violence and gore, and bad shit in general has always been prevalent throughout human history. Having dark humor about it is a coping mechanism.
There's no way these people have ever stood next to someone they've known for years, turn their head, and find that person slumped on the ground, body not working anymore, and nobody home upstairs, never to be home ever again. I don't know what that's like, and I hope I never do know.
