A campaign volunteer actually went door-to-door in my neighborhood a few days ago, and I had a civil and nice discussion with the kid, but basically the kid's only argument in favor of the RINO was "Well ... We want a Republican majority senate for President Trump, and honestly, we don't think that a MAGA candidate has a chance of winning this kind of election in this state."

A fair point, indeed, but holy shit I do not want to be responsible for electing another Mitt Romney, John McCain, or John Cornyn.

It really comes down to how bad of a RINO. Sometimes it's better than a dem seat, sometimes not.

This is something my mother said at Sunday Dinner, Trump looked very nice with his white shirt and that rather catchy apron, it looked like something they should all wear. And it does look much more presentable and confidence boosting than polo and visor. McDonald's in Japan has the employees up front wear a vest with a short sleeve button up and it looks better, too. We either go bring back the full MacDowell's plaid route or do Presidentital McDonald's.

Why are there so many ICONIC photos this election? I don't remember any previous election having anything close wrt the candidates. The golden escelator is what I remember from 2016 and 2020 was all BLM rioters. I honestly wonder if the reason why is because Elon bought X.

Ordinarily, I agree.

The thing I find most concerning, however, is the fact that they have the full, vicious weight of the state on their side. And not just the state- they have the media, Silicon Valley, NGOs, corporations, etc. all pulling for them. Anyone who tries to justifiably defend themselves can expect total vilification and rape via the ”justice” system and the courts. And that’s because of the narrative that has decreed the shitlibs as the ones who are noble/oN tHE riGHt siDe oF hiSToRy. Exhibit A: Saint Floyd Of Fentanyl’s Memorial Summer Of Love.

Here's my prediction. If Trump wins, and particularly if there's a Republican sweep in Congress, many of the leftists will go out with a whimper. I'm talking specifically about a lot of the activist base, the ones who are screaming about fascism on Reddit and DU, the ones organizing marches and protests etc. They've been whipped into a state of constant outrage ever since the Obama years and that takes a toll on a person. During the Trump years the constant fearmongering was driving some of them into a suicidal state, they went even crazier with Covid and they've been compelled to support Biden, a demented puppet who was as clearly unfit for the job as a president has ever been. Then they were told to fall in love with Kamala as Biden was abruptly dropped and the Dems are repeating all their classic panicked messaging again.

There comes a point where a person just gets overloaded with this stuff. I suspect that many of them are exhausted with this emotional rollercoaster and if Trump wins, and the "sky is falling" rhetoric gets turned up to 11 again, they're just going to tune it out. Ditch the Reddit group, turn off the TV news and find something else to do. Of course politicians and career activists will still be grifting, but I sense that many of the rank and file people are building up a distaste for ideology compelling them to support sleazy neocons because Trump is the devil, and if the media throws another hissy fit after Trump gets back in they're going to unplug from it, as much for the sake of their health as for any other reason.

The problem is some people will unplug and realize it was all bullshit. The rest however will double down and argue no were not in the wrong it's those evil conservatives. Some will self reflect and mature and you might see some even drop out. But a not insignificant number of people will feel so radicalized by the loss of power that you might see J6th but with actual oomph and not boomers waltzing around the capital.

I think the last Governor you could say wasn't a do-nothing Neocon was Jim Rhodes since he was the one who killed commies at Kent State, and pretty much was also the last Governor to really have power since he served four terms due to being interrupted by Jack Gilligan who lost re-election because he put in the Income Tax in the state. Coincidentally since you mention Epstein, Dick Celeste, who was the most recent Democrat to serve two terms, had ties with Les Wexner and I think he was a large reason why Wexner was able to expand his business.
