This Battletech thing with Rick is utterly bizarre to me. I'm reading this interview and he seems to genuinely be a fan. He likes Battletech because he actual likes it not because he's supposed to like it, like Star Trek and Star Wars. This article is from 10 years ago when Rick wasn't a spiteful shithead and seemed to enjoy things, other than thinking about executing his ex-wife and kid.

I'm not the biggest Battletech fan because I only have mild autism but from what I can tell he speaks like he knows what he's talking about. I've never seen Rick with actual knowledge on a subject instead of pretending he has knowledge. The Rick lore goes deep. I feel like if he dropped the faux masculinity tough guy persona and accepted the fact he's a middle aged nerd, he'd be happier. But I think Rick is so far gone he despises happiness in any form. And oh boy did I call it with him liking Atlases. He just crashes in like Kool-aid man with zero finesse or subtlety. Hunchbacks don't surprise me. They are just lighter weight Atlases. I am surprised at his choices of Jenner for a lightweight. The are good middle of the road lightweight for speed and firepower.
