McDonald's response to the liberals lying about boycotts is good. In short: if Kamablah wants to work here (for the first time), she can:

Please let Harris/Walz take McDonald's up on the offer. It'd be hilarious seeing them fuck up something as simple as putting fries in a bag.

Newsweek used to be a somewhat decent mag decades ago.

But since 2016, and especially since 2020, it has turned into a total clown world magazine, posting the cringiest of TDS “newsstories” and op-eds.

(“Is Trump a manifestation of evil in human form? Religious experts weigh in!”)

Back in the day they were a WORLDWIDE magazine. Today it’s supposed to be a national news mag. And here they are, featuring a story ABOUT THE RECENT HEALTH INSPECTION OF A MCDONALD’S, as if it’s BREAKING, NATIONAL news. Because something something Trump.

Goddamn bros. This is such peak clown world shit. They’re totally and utterly buck broken, and I love it!

Would you happen to live in Maryland? Cause former governor Larry Hogan is about the only Republican that fits the mold. If you do, I'd say just vote for Hogan and it'll be fine.
The main thing that really defines RINO is when the fake exists in a red / competitive state; a blue-state RINO is more preferable because that RINO is quite literally the only Republican that can win statewide in Maryland (and even then I think he'll fall very short). Real Republicans don't hate Suzanne Collins (Maine) the way they hate Lisa Murkowski (fuck that bitch btw).
Correct.

Without sperging too much about the guy, while I thought he did well during his first term as governor, his second term ... Ugggh. His covid response was absolutely terrible; all he did was pass the buck to let the counties decide what to do, while he constantly criticized Trump because Orange Man Bad, or something. Still wondering where all of those Korean covid tests went that he spent MD tax dollars on to morally grandstand against Trump ... He was so proud of himself, and yet ... Last I heard, there were parts missing to those covid tests and they were unusable, and then the story just magically went away.

And you remember the phrases "just wear your damn mask" and "just get the damn shot" that got popular? That started with Hogan.

I also sent an email to his office expressing my dismay as someone who voted for him twice while he was still governor. His team's response? "lol you snowflake."

He's also pissed me off with his weak responses to the lawfare used against Trump (specifically stating to "respect the verdict"), and would not mention Trump by his name when reacting to the assassination attempt on July 13th.

Apparently, he's recently promised that he would help codify Roe v. Wade, too.

At some point, I have to ask ... How is he different from a Democrat?

EDIT: He also completely abandoned the MD Republicans who ran for any sort of office in 2022. He did nothing to campaign for them, and he was still governor during that time (so he WOULD have had some influence to help them out). And now that he's running for the Senate, I see a real campaign effort from him and resources being used to get his name out there. Dude was capable of helping the MD GOP out 2 years ago, but clearly put himself first.

Lmao honestly that’s what gets me the most about this stunt. It’s such a petty thing to do to get a minor dunk on Kamala (“I’ve worked 15 minutes more at McDonald’s than Kamala”) and it’s absolutely something I’d do if I were in that position myself.
On that note he really could exploit her stupidity and manipulate her into doing something stupid, trying to replicate his gain in the polls from this stunt. For example, claiming he worked at an abortion clinic for awhile. An obvious lie yes but if it drove her to pull a trump and proved she spent more time working in an abortion clinic than trump did and trying to appeal to the trashy skank demographic right before the election it would be hilarious. I mean could you imagine trump goading her into publicly boasting and getting photo ops of her helping abort babies leading up to the election. He'd have a fucking field day with that one. Between the bad optics of doing something like that with the equally bad optics of having the secret service guard her while doing it like they did at mcdonalds with trump it would make for quite the clusterfuck

I also think that the statement wasn't so much 'I'm just like you', which is what many politicians (e.g. Kamala) try and fail to convey, but 'I don't consider myself to be above you'. For all his bluster, Trump appears genuinely not to consider himself above ordinary people, in a moral sense, which is a large part of his appeal.
Mr. Trump would have no qualms letting one of us use his gold toilet. After all, it's a toilet and that's what you do. And he would want to help.

Literally vote for Hogan in that case. Keep in mind that what you are really voting for is which party has control of the Senate. Even if they get 50, with Vance as the tiebreaker, that means that in reality Mitt Romney, or one of the other turbo cucks, is in the driver's seat. Every Senate seat secured over 50, even if by a blue state RINO, limits the potential for a Romney or Flake to moralfag about muh decorum at a crucial moment.

I would be very surprised to see either of them do it. While both pretend to be for the working man both hate the working man and would gladly execute every last working American if it meant their agenda could continue so being seen as one is unimaginable.

The fact that McDonald's corporate came out is pretty wild. I expected them to say "bro this was a franchise we had nothing to do with this."
At a certain point you kind of have to, and "Presidential candidate serves fries" is one of those points. Kamala running her mouth was ignorable in the grand scheme of things, but basically letting a politician actively campaign in yer kitchen is a step farther than mcdonalds usually goes so they had to address it.

Its weird to me that I can say "I respect that decision" talking about corporate mcdonalds telling folks they don't really want to get political we just make fries.

Now, as for how the Harris campaign can fuck this up? I can see them repeating the warcraft fuckup, waltz just campaigning while they livestream some staffer on a second view working the drive through. Its the exact kind of sentimental disconnect I could see waltz making.

Walz would bring his son with him who'd make sure all of the fries were touched by human hands, his daughter who'd tip off anyone working there without a valid SSN to call in sick that day, and his wife who'd make the customers clap and sing "yummy yummy french fries, yum yum yum" before handing over the bag.

If there is a Trump and GOP blowout, it would probably be better to have someone in the caucus that can be pressured by the party than it would be to have someone who has no loyalty to the party. I understand your frustration, but I would still vote Republican. If the state party picked the not-so-Trumpy guy, well... the fat lady has already sung.

Oddly enough, where I'm from (which is way more globohomo Democrat than you), the state GOP is forced to pick the Trumpy candidates because the voters demand it. Interesting dichotomy.

Also, I was certain that you were from New England or New Jersey. You said you're not from NY, so how the hell else are you a Giants fan?

...and nobody from the film crew, Walz' family, nor that Burger King were ever seen again. Just a massive ketchup stain on the floor...

While my Dad isn't trying to convince me to vote for Hogan (because he 100% understands why I'm reluctant to hold my nose for the fat bastard), he told me that he voted for Hogan in hopes that he can get bullied enough to fall in line, whereas there's zero chance of that happening with a Democrat.

I get it, I totally get it, it's just ... Uggghhhh. I know that the man actively and openly hates someone like me, and it's hard for me to vote for someone who openly shows that disdain.

I'm wholly convinced that Hogan plans to run for POTUS in 2028, and that this Senate seat is nothing more than just a stepping stone for him to do that. In fact, I'm wholly convinced that he wanted to run in 2024, but once Trump and then DeSantis put their names in the game, he knew he'd become the laughing stock of the primary.

If Trump wins in November, then the 2028 nomination is basically going to be gift wrapped to Vance. Hogan doesn't stand a chance then either, but I think he's egotistical and delusional enough to try if he wins the Senate seat. Last I checked, Hogan is only down by single digits right now ... He was actually ahead in the polls a few months ago until his response to the Trump verdict came out. lol. If he loses, it's going to be because he's actively alienated enough Republican voters.
