What's benevolent sexism? Is that like being a male feminist/handmaiden, or is that when you think women should stay in the kitchen because they'd be happier there rather than because they're too fat to be permitted in the streets?

In any case this is biased because true sexists will realize someone of the opposite sex probably had input into this test and thus refuse to take it.

Benevolent sexism is when you think women should be worshiped and can't do anything wrong, like Teddy Roosevelt.

The same site's test on Native American knowledge is ridiculous. First question is how many Native Americans were killed with a couple of generations of Christopher Colombus arrived. Their answer is 100 million. Lol
O' ridicule! what preposterous claims of no merit! how can one expect to be believed with such inane scribbles! next they shall detail the holocaust and proclaim a number of 6 million in jews were killed!!! one has got to put an end to this madness!

There is no nuance to the questions. There is no explanation to what feminism even is. It's a monolith, deal with it. You agree or you don't
The other neat trick they pull is asking really loaded questions like "do you believe women have better aesthetic tastes than men?" If you answer no because that's way too broad a statement to possibly be true, you're le heckin' sexist. It reminds me of a similar test I took that labeled me a transphobe because I answered no on the questions that were transparently some variation of "so you think Black transwomynx are superior in every way right?"

Granted, I am a transphobe, but it's the principle of the thing, damnit.

Hostile Sexism Score: 4.36
Benevolent Sexism Score: 2.00

Hostile score: 4.55
Benevolent score: 0.82

I just wanted to play video games.

It's a bit ridiculous of a test given how biased it is.

I am apparently a hostile

I think that ultimately, the scale starts with all the points if you say yes to feminism.

There is no nuance to the questions. There is no explanation to what feminism even is. It's a monolith, deal with it. You agree or you don't.
It obviously has a very specific sense of what is non-sexist (and this is made clear in their explanation on your results page), but the point of the feminism questions isn't getting people's understandings of "actual" feminism, but their perception of "feminism."

Weird that some people seem to feel they got snared in some kind of gotcha. Intent seemed absolutely clear from the top.

Also note that you're being measured agsinst 15,000 responses from 2000. And interesting to run results afainst different countries.
