WHY
WHYYYYY
WHY WOULD YOU NAME A DOG THAT
those paws look like they've been stung by bees🤮
Dog equivalent of rocker-bottom feet?
Man I want to look at their DNA
@Stan yeah that’s a good point, that type of dwarfism is dominant. Munchkin cats have similar I think? Poor little buggers.
I was reading an article about how hitters trending on TikTok (as you do…) and there was a German Shepard in one of the pics - looked so much better than the modern ones. We’ve ruined dogs.

We’ve ruined dogs.
Yeah look what they did to Bull Terriers as well.

Searched and couldn’t find this archived so adding here.

Bullywatch research into Killer Kimbo defective inbred aggression genetics.

Here is a good discussion with regard to Kimbo from 2010 but like the article mentions, people were well aware of his aggression issues way before then.

I remember heading up to a dog event (I want to say in 2008/2009) with a few friends of mine and was told all about the issues with not just Kimbo offspring themselves but GK dogs in general. There was a local guy who had a few GK dogs. One day he was out on his quad and one of his females latched on to his calf as he was riding. Mangled his leg up.

Kimbo’s sire was so aggressive apparently that he was only able to be handled by Gustavo and he also severely aggressive to other dogs to the point he was attacking females who were in heat.

The theory I’ve heard is that Kimbo’s grandsire, Duke Reyes, was some type of mastiff and that’s where the human aggression came from. Theres not pictures of Duke Reyes so I’m not really doubting it.

I really think that families ought to do civil suits against Gustavo Reyes (owner of Kimbo). He knew the issues his dog threw and continued to stud him out. Dog should have been a hard cull.

tbh I prefer the now. Old bull terriers look more like original shitbulls. Thankfully that skull shape doesn't actually harm the dog at all!
Their heads became egg pretty quickly

The egg shape causes many issues, from the fact that their teeth cannot fit inside their mouths anymore (nature doesn't know or care that their mouth can now only fit half of the back teeth in, it still grows the full amount) causing teeth to break apart and be swallowed, leading to choking or intestinal damage, to the neurological conditions gained from having their brain compacted into the wrong shaped skull.
They are also very prone to having the lenses of their eyes break off and float around (lens luxation).
Basically, don't mess around with the skull shape of an animal, it never goes well. Bull Terriers are on one end of the spectrum of skulls, with pugs and frenchies on the other. A healthy dog should stay in the middle, not too flat, but not too pointy/round either.

Late and gay as many others have replied already, but you did specifically ask me, so! In my opinion, the main factor is just a dog's natural personality/genetics
Yeah all the dogs I had were fine with me taking stuff out of their mouths. So they aren't scared of the food being taken away.

But if they got fed, only one would stop eating. The rest would eat until they couldn't move. One got into the feed pack once.

The dog became ball shaped, and had to run outside to squeeze shit out every 20 minutes for the day. Of course it is one of those fancy expensive feeds, so her meal cost more than two weeks of food for myself.

They have smashed too far and slammed too hard.
Not smashed enough! the slamming will continue until we get CONCAVE DOGS!
I love flipping through Facebook reels and seeing dog rescues post "we have more than pitbulls" when half of them are mixes that look vaguely like something else. Just put them down the minute they come in and save everyone the trouble.
Post some.
