Nope. The Dark Eldar would fix the Throne, since they need mankind alive, but also wanted to make a clone of the Emperor to close the warp rift in Commoragh. The deal was letting them raid a planet of 19 billion.IIRC, the AdMech found out the Dark Eldar were going to fuck with the Golden Throne in addition to fixing it. I think they would've put in something to let them slip into Terra for some raiding, but I could be wrong.
Really, thats actually a very small number, considering that the Flesh Tearers once just allowed 300 billion imperial citzens to die, but thats another story.
The first page of the first Tau codex opens with them bombarding a city for daring to say no after they decided they wanted their planet. The Tau commander just say "its a shame, but we chosen this planet"I legit think they are more interesting as a unironic force for good, but I kinda like how more cynical they've gotten the more they experience the wider universe. A rogue trader sequel would be perfect for exploring their society more.
I doubt GW will explore their society, not with Phil Kelly being the only person interested in the Tau for 20 years until finally the Dark Coil guy and JC Stearns published some stuff. Like Voice of Experience is a civilian story, how many of those we got?
