The border bill they keep saying Trump quashed. First of all he had no control over it, second of all it sent billions to Ukraine and gave citizenship to millions of illegals all in the same bill. They knew it was never going to pass but call it "compromise."

It didn’t just send “billions” to Ukraine…

OVER HALF THE BILL, 60 BILLION DOLLARS WAS FOR UKRAINE.

Along with 25 billion for Israel as I recall. The border got 20 billion dollars. And it didn’t even close it, but set a limit of like 5000 crossings a day.

The bill was a total sham, aimed at pulling a GOTCHA on Trump.

Even if Trump wins I'm guessing the Dems are going to have a 3rd impeachment in their plans. They won't do it early as anyone with half a brain cell could tell they were impeaching in spite. They will just wait for the smallest thing he screws up on or they might plant something.

But what if Biden just refused to give the keys to Trump and gave them to Kamola instead. They both say it's to save democracy, so they have to bend the rules to save it. Of course, they won't go that far but it would be interesting.

Reagan did some good things but he was bad on immigration, bad on guns and he was bad for the culture with no fault divorce and generally set the right up to be toothless wimps for the next 30 years almost after the soviet union fell.

Reagan was a very mixed bag of a president, and I think it's a worthy discussion about his policies and their impact. You can look at him like Nixon in many ways, Nixon opened up china to the west and that's a bad idea from the prism of 50 years later, but I think he meant to get more consumers for the US economy tbh. We can look at the lasting effects of a policy like the amnesty stuff changing the demographics and ALSO keep in mind he was tricked into it being a door of immigration closing. It doesn't absolve him at all, but it explains it some. The gun control bill was shitty too, but dude in his admin got crippled and he nearly died. Sure it was stupid, but gotta give him a bit of leeway looking that context. All that said, at a certain point it sort of derails a current politics thread. We have to understand his influence on what's going on now though.
