i think Jack Black knew that he was already gonna be facing an uphill battle to maintain his rep, especially as the minecraft movie was both the moment when people seemed to just generally reach their tolerance point for jack black and was generally shaping up to be a shitshow. he needed to really be able to coast through that to keep things going.

Unfortunately, it was a one-two punch at the worst time. There was no way to navigate that mess that wasn't going to piss a large number of people off (though my god, imagine saying that about someone calling for presidential assassins) and the increased scrutiny meant that when the movie was revealed, there was no escaping public ire.

Ugh. Lemme tell you, the paperwork and red tape involved with forcing some poor shmuck's soul into a new body is a nightmare. Normally I'd get in trouble for dishing out the spicy details of afterlife workings, but you don't get this chance often. Usually takes up to about a year to cram that garbage into a new meatbag. Karma isn't a factor though, but because it's such a mundane job, a lot of the time the boys here'll play novelty label darts or do something like this.

They do the kazoo and everything!

I don't know, tremendous damage has been done to the US since 2020, through the invasion from the south, the vaccine mandates, the continued Marxist takeover of institutions and lots of other things. However, if Trump won in 2020 it's also possible that he would never have had an opportunity to form the reified coalition he now has minus backstabbers like Mike Pence. The Dems may have been better off pinning all the Covid fallout on Trump during a second term, suppressing any attempts by him to create continuity for the MAGA movement and then taking over after he left office.

Still, it's going to be very hard to undo the damage that's been done. The country has been infiltrated by members of militarized drug cartels along with Chinese special forces and it may effectively require a civil war to remove these elements.

Im quite surprised that no one has raised the issue of electability with Kamala but I guess being veep diversity hire and a brown woman make you immune to such criticism. She's not quantified for the job. She was only prosecutor in a comfy blue California region. She has no foreign policy experience since Blinken has been running the show for the past 3-4 years.

I would trust some journalists to be tougher & have more experience with world leaders than her. Journalists.
