Milo's criticism of Fuentes, that he has no political instincts, is ironic coming from someone whose "political instincts" landed him a premo spot on
America's Next Top Federal Informant, but for once the sulking baggy eyed geriatric was correct. Political instinct, or at least historical knowledge, would tell you that elective escalation is the sole and exclusive right of the establishment. Political aims are not achieved by a smaller radical party by incremental steps. They are achieved by playing your full hand suddenly and decisively, and when the establishment makes concessions or limply responds, you gain a new hand to play at the right time by an influx of support and recruitment. The events that led to the Boston Tea Party, the storming of the Bastille and the assassination of Rasputin all testify to this. Toddling toward an objective is not an option for a dissident, especially given that the dissident in this specific circumstance has less than three months (realistically less than that) to coerce the establishment. Of course we all knew that livestreaming and screaming obscenities for donos does not make a serious movement so maybe the joke is on us.
