All the ‘return to trad values’ MAGA people turn out to be degenerate grifters too. I’m sure it isn’t a sign that you shouldn’t be idolizing political figures or something. Surely JD Vance is still based and wholesome! Kek.
Shut up and make yourself useful for once in your life by telling which other corporate whore is singing on Lollapaloser over at Houston.

Trump is going to have to offer something substantive in return. USA cannot lose dollar hegemony.
Why?

Literally no one has given a shit about Russia being shut out of SWIFT. It's been 2 and a half years. Crickets

2022, US dollar share of foreign currency exchange reserves: 58%
2024, same: 59%

2022, US dollar share of global export invoices: 54%
2024, same: 54%

2022, US dollar share of foreign exchange transactions: 88%
2024, same: 89%

It's all performative, people. A dog and pony soldier show, Jack. Wishcasting. No one wants to trust some drunk Ivan in Moscow or some powdered tiger gall bladder-snorting chink in Beijing with the world's finances. Except performatively, on the marginest of margins. The US dollar share of India's export invoices is 86%. The US dollar share of India's total foreign currency reserves is 85%. Yeah India is dropping the dollar like it's hot for that ruble and yuan rofl. Same shit for Saudi Arabia

US dollar was 72% of foreign currency reserves globally in 1999. Now it's 59%. Another 20% is the euro. The drop in the US dollar share is nearly entirely because of the Euro. Euro and USD have ~80%. USD + pre-Euro yerp currencies in 1999 was like ~85%. Europe isn't going to be abandoning America economically for grorious Chinka and drunk Ivans (that the yerps are terrified of) sorry

People should really start using their brains and look into the deets instead of taking the ham-fisted propaganda of the We Lost the Cold War and We Want a Rematch Dammit Club at face value

I heard TSMC is having trouble building in the US because of DEI requirements. "You must hire X number of pigfuck ignorant niggers who won't show up to work and when they do they can't follow basic instructions, you aren't allowed to hire for merit. Also, at least half your executives have to be women who are too lazy and gossipy to actually lead." Is that not the case?
Lots of problems for TSMC. Part of it is the DEI requirements as you mentioned. Since they get government money they have to hire niggers, women and ex felons.

American bureaucracy in general is another issue. Tons of paper pushers who need to approve everything, environmental regulations, etc. Fedgov has only grown and grown over the decades, and then there’s local and state bureaucracies as well.

Finding qualified labor is another issue, from what I’ve read.

China and Taiwan trains engineers and craftsmen by the boatload. America doesn’t. And since manufacturing has been hollowed out over the decades, there’s a shortage of people with practical experience and a degree.

I’d imagine TSMC would be a lot better off if they were running a grievance factory of some kind, and needed lawyers and women’s history bachelors. Lord knows the US graduates plenty of those.
