We are going through a massive shift again. Like how GG to 2016 the woke took over. From 2022-2024 the pendulum has swung back really hard. You could see this coming a few years ago where people aren't as afraid to speak up when Musk bought Twitter.

ETA the shifts are usually 20 years or so, but as human tech/culture accelerates it happens faster. If Trump/Vance take over for awhile in the 2030's there might be even worse faggotry. It never ends.

I think some Dems have been slightly red pilled on their party from the Israel-Palestine stuff and have finally started listening to Trump's actual words instead of letting the media pass it through a "LITERALLY HITLER" filter. Trump at least actually acknowledges that what's going on is bad and talks about establishing peace. Kamala doesn't even know what to say if someone heckles her with Gaza.

The polls have started including how you say her name because they think that people don't know who she is without it

just the democrats losing the BLM crowd.

I hope trump gets at least 60% of the popular vote. I'd be amazed if it was 75% though

Kamablah had a gay rally in MI with Big Mike, then went to act like a normie with Stretchin' Gretchen at a bar.

Alex Stein was at the Beyonce lie yesterday, shows how little time she was on stage and how people immediately left.

Dang, that’s cringe. I mean it’s not TERRIBLE and she gets an A for effort, but Trump is just so much better at appearing folksy and doing the “Heya regular Americans!”-thing.

Trump at least looks like he enjoys meeting people. Kamala has to sit with another Dem politician to get through it.
I used to believe the childfree rhetoric until I learned how much it took to have me. It’s not even about giving my parents grandkids- it’s about making sure everything my forefathers went through would amount to something.

The future belongs to those who show up.
Yup. Picture your father and father’s father. You mother and her mother, all in a long line stretching back through time and generations. A human chain of biology, history and values. What life is all about.

And then it just stops with you, because you can’t get arsed and would rather travel two or three times a year instead of one.

I really feel for people who want to, but can’t have kids, but fuck those who choose it or pretend how happy they are without. And fuck those forces who encourage it. Eternal damnation is a fate too kind for them.

It's just a party flip

It happens every few generations on average after one side has been ascendant too long. Before the GoP was the party of the elites, the power brokers and the big corporations but now that the Left has been in power for so long they are the party of the big names, the bankers and the corpo's.

Naturally the other side moves to take advantage of the newly alienated citizens and adopts new policies to appeal to them so now the GoP is the populist party of the people rather then the elites.

The names have changed but the sides are the same. The elites vs the people. That never changes.

Never

No shit he's defending him, Trump threw him a bone on JRE yesterday. How the turns have tabled.
The Big Apple is its own thing. They’ll stick up for their own before taking in outsiders, even when they’re on the other side. De Blasio wasn’t a New Yorker.

They had a billion dollars, at least theoretically. That they couldn't get enough to pay an actual supporter to sing is incredibly damning, and really should be surprising.

Though, if I was a famous singer, and I was asked to help a billion-dollar campaign, you bet I'd ask for money to do anything more than wave. No way a campaign even moderately well-run shouldn't be able to pay it's performers on a supermassive budget.

She came in swinging for Obama - but Obama was crazy popular for most of his terms so showing up for him wasn't too much of a loss for her. Even though she kind of became synonomous with Obama going "hey look who's at the White House today!!" to cover for his politicial failings.

Beyonce is a little older and wiser - but also Kamala is absolutely NOT Obama, and she already gave Beyonce's team a headache by dropping rumors she was gonna show up at DNC.

I imagine Beyonce and her team probably bigged up the cost to hire her to do any performance under arguement that it would cover losses Beyonce might endure by coming out to "Politically endorse" anyone and Kamala's previous antics made them considerably less willing to negotiate the cost. But also Kamala had been critiqued for offering a concert at one of her earlier rallies to bait people to see her.

So she really doesn't want her big rally to just be "Beyonce Concert feat Kamala Harris" and Kamala hates anything other than the most politically safe option to avoid pissing anyone off - which generally during her campaign has been the worst move, but hey ho. So in the end she paid Beyonce a stupid amount of money to do a speech - then couldn't follow it up with anything worthy so it had almost no impact anyway.

In the meantime - Taylor Swift got in trouble in the UK for giving Labour party MPs free tickets to her concerts along with friends and family so she's already in enough Political hot water and probably is stepping away now it's threatening her money train somewhat.

Normally I'd agree but Trump just doesn't fit that mold with MAGA. This is something different.

The whole "party flip" meme is WAY too simplistic to explain what happened in the 1960s or what has been happening since 2016 (arguably since 2008 ) and it's really not a matter of the "the sides being the same" - I only share a very, very small amount of ideology in common with, say, the Democrats of 1992.

I got pissed and made sure mine was more pronounced, even picking up more out of date slang. Not tech per-se, but not in the south and white collar technical work. It also keeps you from having to interact with the chinese and indians as much because they can't understand you.
Lmao it's equally hilarious and infuriating when they can't.

Also same, been listening to YT to try and get it back. Been mostly successful.
Be proud of where you're from. Skin color means nothing - true diversity is being united in community principles when we're from different backgrounds. It's hateful when my fellows link a Southern accent to ignorance and racism but for some reason the most unintelligible ebonics is praised as a special enlightened dialect. If the descendents of chinese immigrants in Mississippi are happy with their intense swamp puppy accents then nobody else should be ashamed too

You weren't kidding, #WaPoMeltDown was trending on twitter just a bit ago.
Lots of people are pissed. I had seen a few screenshots of people cancelling their subscriptions before that hashtag, but I'm seeing even more now.
If you see one of those, try and remind them that their cancellation is meaningless, since newspapers nowadays don’t really profit off subscriptions. The money is all in advertising.

Plus, there’s so much churn in subscriptions that it’s basically a blip on their radar.

On one hand these numbers are unbelievably good. Once you factor Trump overperforming his polling and the early voting looking amazingly good, it's looking like a Reagan/Mondale level ass-whooping is coming. For me at least, it's literally hard to believe how good everything looks right now.

But on the other hand I absolutely can believe it because holy fucking shit, have you seen how horrible of a candidate Kamala has been? She deserves every moment of this.
