This is a STATE court ruling. It cannot be appealed to a FEDERAL court. The case has to first bring up a FEDERAL question and have that accepted by a FEDERAL appeals court before it can go to SCOTUS. SCOTUS could also pick up the FEDERAL question directly but that’s very unlikely.

To be fair, this is how every culture was to some degree before industrialization. Getting people to show up to work at the factory, and show up on time, and show up sober was simply too much to ask for most early 1900s whitoids, and punctuality had to be adopted as a cultural institution rather than being bred into us. "Knocker-up" used to be an actual job where one guy's job was to wake up before all of the other workers and wake them up to come to work.

Despite what you may hear on TV, Africa and the Caribbean are still very much pre-industrialized cultures.

I listened to/watched the Tim Dillon interview with JD Vance and Vance absolutely fucking killed it. He went along with Dillon's humor.
