This confuses me a bit, I admit. She’s gone home for her birthday and for Christmas, and this is obviously just for gifts since she doesn’t care about holidays themselves or her family but I can’t for the life of me figure out WHY.
Nothing she gets will equal out to the extra money she’s paying for a ticket that far away (unless part of her gift is also the two seats ONE and ONLY ONE seat on the plane) and half of the shit she gets or buys herself she can’t bring back with her.

Also she admitted during the Nadar arc one year that she’d left ever gift she was given for Christmas in the car for over a month because she was too lazy to bring them in (jeezes Christ why anyone still bothers to buy her anything baffles me) so I doubt she’s ever cared about the actual gifts at all.
