Things like homes and a decent affordable car are a faded dream for many. And people recognize it just wasn't like that during the Trump years. Hell I thought it was expensive when milk went above $2.89 a gallon in 2020 where I live and now it's $4.39.

The inflation over the last 2-3 years will probably be thing that seals it for Trump everyone have seen the price just go through the roof on everything. I used to buy 60 eggs for like $8 now its $15+, legit real good butter is $5 a pound easily and while the typical whole milk is $3 a gallon here but the good stuff is 3x that easily. Prices fluctuate super fast nowadays too I can find what I would consider a "good" deal and 2 weeks later its 50% more expensive because everyone noticed it was a good deal. Don't even get me started on insurance, electricity or anything else like that those are a disaster.

I say good. If you aren't informed and don't care to inform yourself, then it's far better to abstain than to go "lol vote for the good guys" or "idk randomly picking things".

I myself leave most of the ballot questions and judicial appointments empty on my ballot if I haven't had the time to interest myself in them. It'd do a disservice to anyone actually interested in the issue who did bother to educate themselves.

Actually, that's a good point that completely slipped my mind.

Maryland is super blue, but we occasionally have Republican governors, and our last (hyper mild, essentially RINO) governor, Hogan, was a Republican.

One of our senate seats is up for grabs this election and Hogan isn't completely infeasible as a winner.

They're desperately trying to keep him from getting in because the Democrats are scared shitless of losing the senate.

I have a TV tuner and sometimes record broadcast TV sometimes. I have a few of the attack ads somewhere, I should dig them up.
