In WA and OR, there is no other way to vote. You either put it in a drop box, or hand it over to the USPS. There are in-person vote centers, but there are very few of them and meant for old or disabled people.
wait wut

Holy shit, that's crazy. Didn't know that was happening up there.

Pretty sure only Pennsylvania has said they will count until they find enough.

Arizona has given hints they will. We taking bets of they repeat the Maricopa county trick?
I copied this from the government is don't know how to convert it to straight I'm sorry

 • You don't need to have any current ties with your previous address or state. There is absolutely no requirement for overseas voters to continue to maintain a residence or to own property in the U.S. in order to vote.
 • Regardless of the length of time you have lived overseas or whether you continue to own property in the U.S., under federal law you continue to maintain the right to vote for federal offices (President, Vice President, U.S. Senator, and U.S. Representative). That federal law is called The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).

I don't think we are at the stage where we need to archive congressional acts yet

if you're in Ohio, you need to vote No on Issue 1. Changes redistricting in the state to a committee of 5 Republicans, 5 Democrats, and 5 "Independents" who will no doubt be basically Democrats,
My part of KiwiLand adopted something similar under the auspices of eliminating partisan gerrymandering. Spoiler: It didn't work. The first set of districts that were drawn got thrown out for essentially being too racist.

I also question the true independent nature of the independents being selected for these committees. It's yet another idea that sounds good in theory and on paper, but is doomed to fail because nobody really wants reform - especially those in power - they only want to make it look like something is happening.

If she's only getting 52% with astroturfed showbiz kids then Trump should win a landslide.
When I was in 6th grade, we had a combined mock election with the 5th graders. The candidate we selected failed to win the presidency. So, forgive me if I'm skeptical about a kid's poll having any sort of correllation on the actual election.

That's a pretty large degree of variance, and I'm not entirely sure why that's the case.
The biggest issue in Michigan is not knowing whether the people saying they favor a candidate will actually vote for them or even vote for anyone. Even with the current turnout for early and absentee voting, presidential elections in Michigan barely surpass 50% as final statewide tally in past years. I'd love to be proven wrong this year, but too many people that favor a candidate opt for slacktivism and figure everyone else can vote for the person instead.

Other thoughts from quotes that got eaten:

I may have mentioned here about the call I received from a group making, "I see you haven't voted early yet? Why not? and can we count on you voting for our candidate/s?" The guy seemed chagrined when I told him, (1) I prefer to vote on Election Day, and (2) Who I vote for isn't any of his business. Whether I vote may be public record for better or for worse, but that's all I'm going to allow some nobody to pressure me into vote on their terms and not mine.

The fires in the NW ballot boxes are sadly unsurprising to me. Antifa has no problems throwing its weight around in areas where they can get away with that kind of thing. As much as whomever is responsible set the fire deserves justice, I know enough to know it won't happen given the area's political dynamics. I wish there was someway to ensure those people whose ballots went up in flames had a chance to make their vote count. Also, this shows why drop boxes are untrustworthy.

As for Rogan inviting Harris. I agree with those commenting about him being very deliberate about the offer and proposed terms in case she wants to claim he never offered or some other story sympathetic towards herself and not him. CYA seems to be a better and better idea these days.

Dark Brandon: He came to me in a dream, Donald. Your master. Shinzo. He told me... what I must do.
Trump: N-nani?! Shinzo-sama?!
Dark Brandon: Your loyalty to your master has been rewarded, Donald. I am growing stronger.
Trump: What do you mean?!

...

Dark Brandon: His supporters are garbage.
Kumala: :lol::lol::lol:- WHAT WHAT WHAT?!
Dark Brandon: *eyes flash* *thunder booms*
Trump: Thank you, Dark Brandon. Who would have ever imagined we'd be on the same side?... Thank you, Shinzo-sama.
Spirit of Shinzo Abe: Donarld... I torld you we wourld meet again, Donarld...

What’s the point of voting anyways? If my ballot isn’t burned up by some Palestinian roach or outnumber 10 to 1 by ballot harvested illegals that would stab me at a gas station then it’ll certainly be swapped to blue by the Chinese voting machines.
I'm curious to see if your post ages well in November. In some ways, it would be nice if American politics lost any pretense of being real. So many people could divorce themselves from pop social media politicking and instead focus on living their best possible life, all while treating their government the way America's oldest heroes did: by avoiding them until it was impossible to not shoot them.

Back in the old days, when people voted by using a stylus to punch a little perforated hole out by their candidate's name, they didn't count the ballots all in one night. Prior to Bush/Gore in 2000 (which took a month to count) elections usually weren't that close. There is a statistical "point of no return" in which a candidate is so far behind, even if that candidate got 100% of the remaining uncounted votes (a statistical impossibility until 2020), they'd still lose the election. This is why all the "swing states" are on the east coast---if a candidate wins all of those, it's pretty much over.

At that point of no return, the news stations would call the election, and the loser would concede gracefully. The count would continue into the next day, and each state would continue counting until all their downballot races and propositions were decided. It wasn't unusual for these downballet items to remain undecided for a few days after the election.

Absentee ballots were counted last, and if the election was definitively decided before absentee ballots were counted, they didn't count the absentee ballots at all, which saved everybody a lot of time and money on the signature verification part of the process.

"Too big to rig" my ass. Should have known it was impossible to outpace the ballot printers.
It’s Joever. What’s the point of voting anyways? If my ballot isn’t burned up by some Palestinian roach or outnumbered 10 to 1 by ballot harvested illegals that would stab me at a gas station then it’ll certainly be swapped to blue by the Chinese voting machines. I think I’m just going to stay home to be safe this year, I wouldn’t want to be labeled on Kamala’s To Do (remove fascist) list.
If you faggots are going to doom, could you at least wait until near the end of Election Day where it's at least somewhat justified?

So any guess as to what's happening here? Apparently PA does allow private couriers to drive their own vehicles, but the recent vehicle registration and RI plates are extremely suspicious. The cynic in me would assume he's a Dem ballot harvester and just hit up a black community/nursing home/etc? Help me avoid the doompill here Kiwis, would love an alternative explanation.

Here's the press release archive

Statement from Colorado Department of State on Systems Passwords

Denver, October 29, 2024 - The Colorado Department of State is aware that a spreadsheet located on the Department’s website improperly included a hidden tab including partial passwords to certain components of Colorado voting systems. This does not pose an immediate security threat to Colorado’s elections, nor will it impact how ballots are counted.
Colorado elections include many layers of security. There are two unique passwords for every election equipment component, which are kept in separate places and held by different parties. Passwords can only be used with physical in-person access to a voting system. Under Colorado law, voting equipment must be stored in secure rooms that require a secure ID badge to access. That ID badge creates an access log that tracks who enters a secure area and when. There is 24/7 video camera recording on all election equipment. Clerks are required to maintain restricted access to secure ballot areas, and may only share access information with background-checked individuals. No person may be present in a secure area unless they are authorized to do so or are supervised by an authorized and background-checked employee. There are also strict chain of custody requirements that track when a voting systems component has been accessed and by whom. It is a felony to access voting equipment without authorization.
Every Colorado voter votes on a paper ballot, which is then audited during the Risk Limiting Audit to verify that ballots were counted according to voter intent.
The Department took immediate action as soon as it was aware of this, and informed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which closely monitors and protects the county’s essential security infrastructure. The Department is working to remedy this situation where necessary.

I'm confident Trump will win but I was confident of the same in 2020

Wondering if Twitter/social media being a huge pro Trump circlejerk will have an actual effect.
i'm pretty blackpilled but he is closer in the polls than he's ever been, and the way the EC is tilted means that it's pretty much neck and neck. i think he has an actual chance this time, which i did not think in 2020 or 2016

Who knows it could be a Republican ballet harvestor.

I actually was not confident going into the 2020 election. I had a bad feeling about all of it, and the worst case scenario I had pictured in my head was realized. The article about "The Red Mirage" was the big red flag for me.

Personally, I do not have that bad feeling currently. Granted, the 2020 election will always prevent me from feeling 100% confident ... But I am feeling much better about this election.

I was pretty confident on a Trump victory back in 2016 ... And I'm having similar feelings this time around.

EDIT: Let me put it this way ... I vividly remember telling family members in late 2019 that Trump was destined to win his next election barring some black swan/cosmically disastrous event occurring under his watch. Covid was the Democrats' golden goose for several reasons, and that is exactly why I was pessimistic about 2020.
