No, it's just that Jack can't separate the admittedly retarded politics of EV's (governments forcibly converting everyone to EV's even though they are not a practical solution for every application and the power grid couldn't handle it as-is) and the EV's themselves (a good transportation solution for some people).

I'd bet that it's more to do with the current administration pushing EVs than anything else.
