Sorry to sperg out but something IPOS said that everyone ignored (but pissed me off as an avid reader) is that Wendigoon could have never understood Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy because he's "rich". It's a book that's mostly about scalping and death with some deeper undertones that I won't get into for the fucking YT horror thread. It's a very accessible book, especially now that Wendigoon talked about it. You don't have to be piss poor (in Asheville, one of the most gentrified parts of Appalachia where IPOS is from) to understand violence.
