Apparently hunting rifles don't shoot many bullets because they have camo paint and pistols don't shoot many bullets because they're physically smaller.
They always get mixed up between assault, semi-auto and auto weapons. Automatic weapons are banned in most states. While assault weapon is a made up term.

This makes sense strategy wise if you are convinced you need to energize your base and you gain more from that than what you would lose.

Gun bans motivate Rs, but it feels like they are peak motivated. I guess maybe there is a few hundred people who were libertarian who might switch to R. Meanwhile lots of Ds are depressed due to Kamalas lack of commitment on anything and this might make them feel like she will do something.
