My take on this is he's probably got the money for the fees at (or could borrow it from rich mom and dad), but that his CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credits were due this year (unlike last year) and that is what fucked him. I would bet anything he didn't do them and so sending in the money for the fees would be pointless.

Your screenshot says he has a CLE status/category of 1. It appears that means his reporting category was July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024 for 45 hours during the period and his reporting deadline was August 31, 2024. If he did not submit his CLE by August 31, he would have had to have submitted an extension request.

I just checked and the second half property taxes on the house with his name on it were paid by him on time in his own name this time. His father paid them in the first half of the year.

So that would point to perhaps as previously said the problem being the continuing education part rather than just the fee as far as his attorney status goes.
