Good stuff. I like collecting the raw chat data when I can. I want to make a self-hosted browser player that replays the chat from a json file next to its corresponding VOD when I get the free time.

Just a tip if you ever need a backup method: if you use the --all-subs argument with yt-dlp on an active livestream, it will download the live chat json in real-time.

Not really, Jim dropped off the radar in a few months after covid started because that's when his health problems really started kicking in, and his main activity was on his Mr. Antibully twitter account, which got taken down mid-2020 iirc for laughing at the summer of Floyd. He did do some streams on the Dem debates across late-2019 but that was mainly laughing at how ridiculous they were and expecting Trump to have an easy victory, like everyone else at the time was predicting.
