Cannot find it now but I'm immediately reminded of that moment when Ubisoft did a presentation on game design and literally showed a DSP clip in the middle of it, showcasing how it's important to make things more accessible to a larger audience.Bullshit. Assassian's Creed, released nearly two decades ago, didn't have yellow paint smeared everywhere and people didn't have any issue playing that game. This is a fake problem cooked up as a cope by lazy developers. This idea that "we need to design games around people who are too fucking stupid to play them" is just retarded. If someone "doesn't know how to play a game", then they have two options: get good or fuck off.
AAA games will always try to widen their sales even if it means pandering to the lowest common denominator. It isn't really a question of whether or not it's retarded, that's simply how they operate.
