Often times, Trump's superpower is he sees free money left on the table and just takes it.

Any other politician could have made a public statement about this. Decrying the government overreach if they were on the right, or vowing to get the full story about why this tragedy had to happen if they were on the left. They could then segue into a political speech of their own choosing, making whatever points they want and getting sound bytes out, while endearing themselves to people upset about the situation.

But only Trump actually did it.


For context: The New York State Environmental Board decided a popular youtube channel about a rescued squirrel that had spawned an animal sanctuary and the like needed to be killed because just absolutely because. So they raided the guy's house without a warrant, took his pet squirrel, and killed it before he could fight back in court. There's talk on X that the state government wants the Animal Sanctuary's land or somesuch and this was their way of cutting it off from their primary source of funding, but I don't know about that.

Assuming it's true that's evil as fuck, just when I thought I couldn't hate New York more.

It is legitimate. The Europeans made it so. Europe's dirty open secret is that they like corrupt, evil oligarchies as long as everyone gets free ice cream. I wish they didn't, but it is what it is.

I know a person who almost died from a completely curable form of cancer because his European medical system was staffed by incompetent immigrants, made him wait, made constant errors, required endless paperwork, and even gave him the wrong prescription at one point. When I joked to him about the blatant inefficiency of socialized medicine, his eyes glazed over and he recited a creed about the evils of US healthcare. These people are slaves and they deserve it.

Here, I'll help with some more hate:

Squirrel was rescued nearly a decade ago as a baby and was an inside pet, never went outside. They killed it because "there was a danger of rabies." While Rabies CAN infect Squirrels, it's apparently fatal to them and they can't really transmit it to others.

They also seized his pet racoon and killed it too. Imagine being at home and having a bunch of city goons burst in with firearms and grab your pet's cages while they hold you and your wife at gunpoint until they leave, then arrest you so you can't go to the courts for an emergency injunction while they kill your pets.

I was watching a recent episode of Part of the Problem and figured I'd give credit since it didn't occur to me somehow, but Dave Smith made the true statement that we're multiple generations deep of selecting for failure.

Obama picked Biden because he was incompetent and wouldn't outshine/threaten him.
Biden picked Kamala because she was incompetent and wouldn't outshine/threaten him.
Kamala now has picked Walz because he's incompetent and won't outshine/threaten her.

As soon as I heard this I realized not only is he right but holy fuck is it funny that apparently they didn't consider, that if Kamala is gaffe-prone perhaps her literally retarded and closeted running mate might be even worse.
