Last year people thought it was a fix. This year, everyone recognizes the hard, honest, toiling, that Nick puts in with his shovel in attempting to find rock-bottom.
He deserves extra credit. Getting arrested with April and Kayla for cocaine, kid coke and the qover was a strong showing.

But parlaying a quick plea deal with suspended sentence into a DENIED Frank's hearing with SuperChats praising Aaron's cock is the chef's kiss.

Nick does not have an active law license.
Therefore, Nick is not a lawyer.

For some professional titles, registration is required to hold themselves out to the public as that thing. "Lawyer," "Accountant." and "Engineer" are a few examples. But being a licensed CPA or licensed Professional Engineer isn't always required for jobs in private corporations. The Electrical Engineer designing video chips at Nvidia likely does not have a PE stamp or license but is still hired as an "engineer" and has an engineering degree. Likewise, I suspect there are people with law degrees at corporations that are called "lawyers" but don't need to be a member of the bar if they are never in court.

So, apparently, the 2024 Julays pre-show thread has been up since July, but very few people have noticed.

Turns out it's gonna be a three way race this year for LotY:

I feel like Nick's got this, but BMJ could still put up a hell of a fight. I dunno enough about Chris Tyson.

Nominees for other categories are still being filled out.

Aaron Imholte is in the running for Fresh Meat.

Voting starts December 31st.

He’s going to have to kill someone in prison just to get close. Chris had a good lolcow year but I think it as mostly overshadowed because it tied in Mr Beast a bit too much. These last few weeks had to push Rekieta over the top. I mean he’s on 3 community features in November of all times.

Just give it to Nick, no point in voting. Even if the other two were more worthy of it, how invested KF is personally in Nick means he will win every vote.

I think he has the potential to really lead people astray with his garbage tier legal takes.
Tbf anyone retarded enough to take any kind of legal advice from the Law Lol Pope kind of deserves the consequences.

Imagine taking legal advice from a former lawyer like Nick Rekieta.
:story:
You'd be better asking Darrel Brooks.

People have very short memories. It will all come down to who has the most recent drama. If BMJ is in jail his memory will be fleeting, Chris Tyson's investigation has concluded so he will fade, Nick is the only one who still have a chance to have another harvest or two before the majority of voting happens.

Unfortunately for BMJ he's in jail for the foreseeable future, while Nick is free to continue digging his hole deeper.
That's a good point. I didn't think about that. The judicial system might have ensured BMJ peaked already for the year, while Nick can keep climbing.

Fatty Patty is completely out of the running this year.

I think Nick's got it.

The better question is, would the man who let multiple traffic tickets and his own loicense to practice law expire bother with VOOTING?
Nick is registered to vote at the Spicer address.

Kayla doesn't appear to be registered at that address. No idea if she is registered elsewhere, registered under different name/birthday from court case or just not registered.
