If you fail to pay your registration fees on time, you are a lawyer who is not authorized to practice law and therefore not in good standing, and you cannot hold yourself out as a lawyer, because holding yourself out as a lawyer implies you are authorized to practice law, which you are not. Unauthorized practice of law is an ethical violation.
This isn't a correction, since I know "hold yourself out as a lawyer" is a phrase generally used as a term of art meaning hanging out a shingle and advertising yourself as being a licensed lawyer legally authorized to practice law, but just claiming you're a lawyer is not necessarily illegal, much as lying about being a military veteran is not in and of itself illegal, the reason many Stolen Valor type laws were found unconstitutional when they did not include an element of fraud for advantage.
So, for instance, lying about being a lawyer in a bar to get laid or win an argument, while sleazy, is not actually illegal. You'd have to engage in the actual "practice of law," including giving legal advice, or continuing to do so to clients who did not know you no longer have a license in good standing.

Based on something that Aaron said the other day I think that there may have been a behind the scenes truce between House Imholte, House Bisconte, and House Anderson.

April and I have still been on the same phone plan this whole time and I've been 3:49 meaning to get you know be done with that uh that actually had a pretty nice 3:54 ending today uh it it took a while to get there but uh it had a nice ending uh 4:01 I went into Verizon today and I said look when I put all the devices on this 4:07 account uh April was the owner and I didn't have any reason to change that it 4:13 was fine whatever I said now um I need to get my thing and my children's 4:20 devices uh off onto their own account and they said well you can't do that and 4:25 uh they said but we can make you an account manager and then maybe we can go from there and I said okay great and 4:32 then uh they made me an account manager and then immediately after they make me an account manager like a minute later 4:38 two minutes later uh I get a notification that I've not only have I been booted as an account manager but 4:43 I've been blocked from the my uh Verizon account um and I was like well that's 4:49 kind of weird until I realized like five minutes later then the permission was 4:55 granted to release all of my lines uh onto their own account so that 5:00 was good I got that taken care of today um thank you to the person who uh who 5:08 did that that's very nice I appreciate that made that very easy I was worried it wouldn't be it was nice I appreciate 5:15 it um so that was good that I could get that done with
I'm glad I looked though, because it stumbled on something more interesting that seems to pertain to the Rekietas and may have been missed. On his Wednesday, October 30th evening show he circled back three times to how he was informed earlier that afternoon of some big news which falls in the category of things he's not allowed to talk about so he had to be an annoying cryptic tease about it as usual, but there were a few hints narrowing down the subject enough to try to figure it out:
Fucking whirlwind of a day, um, some things I can tell you about, some things I can't. Um, just know I got - I got some - some uh news before the show that uh that shook me up. Um, I - I'm fine, my family's fine, SP is fine, every- like, everyone here is fine, everything's good. I just - I got some information that, um - that, that - uh, just shook me up a little bit, that's it. It kind of made it a little hard to focus on, uh, on doing the show. None of it is bad for - for me, none of it is bad for my family, friends extended people, anything. It's just sometimes, you just hear some shit and you go, "oh my God!" I kind of - I had that going on...

This has been a fun show and I was - I was, um, I was a little out of sorts before the show tonight. I got a lot of good news and then a lot of fucking weird news, weird news. None of it I can talk about, um, all of it just kind of stuck in the back of my head, but, uh... *shudders* It - it's, uh, it had me really kind of, uh, out of sorts at the beginning of the show but you guys have made it easy.
Combining the above hints with what else is known ITT, I'd infer at least the following for starters:
1. His assurance that none of it is bad for him or his family and friends would rule out something personal such as a bad medical diagnosis or car accident or the like, and it would have to be about someone outside his circle but pertinent enough to him to keep him in the loop and also someone newsworthy, so I don't think it's a reach to guess it's about the Rekietas and/or April.
2. Because Aaron's release conditions only prohibit talking about Kayla or even "indirectly" referring to Kayla, and because Aaron has proven himself more than willing to talk about Nick and April repeatedly since his release, it follows that the big news having something to do with Kayla is likely why he can't talk about it.
3. If his release conditions aren't what prohibit him from talking about it, then the second-tightest gag on him would be one or another Kandiyohi County contact keeping him somewhat informed about ongoing investigations to the limited extent appropriate to his role as an anticipated state's witness and/or his role as a putative victim of suspected witness intimidation, of course coupled with directives that he not spill what few inside details they give him for that purpose, which is a pattern he's referred to on at least three different occasions and likely continues to this day.
4. The way it got him so "shook", "out of sorts", and even shuddering, combined with the way he quickly segued to assuring his audience of his safety, sure sounded like someone being in physical danger was on his mind.
5. The timing juxtaposed with the throuple's reported breakup and Nick's increasingly unhinged meltdowns this week make it highly likely that Aaron's super-sekreet bombshell news is related to Spicer goings-on in some way. Cross-referencing the timing of Nick's and "April's" tweetstorms, chat posts, and YT comments against the timing of the tip to Aaron on Wednesday afternoon may shed some more light on who was up to what in the Balldo Bunker that day.
Starting from that springboard, let the speculation run rampant. Did Aaron receive a security briefing warning of Nick's soliciting an undercover cop posing as a hitman? Or will we not be so lucky as to see something that exciting become a Lifetime movie or Netflix miniseries, and instead it was something so mundane as a drunk-texted death threat or a qultist's suicide attempt? Or did Pomplun's publicly known investigation into Nick's barely-legal witness intimidation campaign finally scrape together enough probable cause to start monitoring Nick's accounts or devices, which then stumbled upon enough to warn Aaron of Nick and Melton's ongoing nannycam blackmail scheme in real-time? Or is this just so severely boring as Nick sending some spicy DMs to another streamer who felt compelled to warn Aaron about them? My my, Aaron has sure opened the floodgates to such proliferation of reckless fanfiction that it'd probably be best for Nick to get ahead of the story and fire up a stream correcting the record about what really happened on Wednesday. We're ready to believe you, Nick!

It would depend on the circumstances of BMJ's death in prison. If, for example, he died trying to collect gamba debts in prison from people who owed him....that would raise his esteem immensely. His death would need to be both extraordinary, pointless and completely stupid. It would be better if he initiated the violence that caused his death. It would help things if it were a principled fight over nonsense.

Which is why I had engineers and accountants as an example because the main concern is presentation to the public. Corporations are in a position to assume a certain level of risk. I used to work for US company that had staff attorneys that had no US bar affiliations from any jurisdiction and transferred from a subsidiary out of the country. They did the same legal work in the US that they did abroad. They couldn't hang out a shingle because no bar affiliation but still staff attorneys. Everything about it just seems wrong. Re-naming herself to "April Law", going out to public pity simp from strangers, streaming from Nick's house, all the total deliberate vagueness of everything that is said, having exchanges in public that would normally be done in DMs. Her deciding to flood twitter with messages the same week that Nick does the same thing. She has either totally lost her mind or this is some weird 5-D chess game going on. Could be both.
