Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

I spent $45 I didn't have on a dozen chapters of a relationshit manga on Mangaplaza. And it wasn't even the complete story. I can usually find most of Mangaplaza's insanely overpriced catalogue either for free or on cheaper sites, but this title looks to be exclusive to them.

Cute story and nice art though, even if it is the 1974560000th version of Cinderella.

Still wasn't worth $45. Those greedy fucks are really raking it in. A ways back I even tried signing up for a premium membership, but quickly discovered that it was a rip off, because all of the titles are only available to premium users part of the way. If you want to finish anything, you still have to pay for each individual chapter past a certain point. Fucking rip off. Every single time I visit the site I end up vowing never to return, but I always do.

Is the screen OLED, and does it have expandable storage?
No (IPS LCD) and yes (micro-SD up to 2 TB). The whole ruggedized phone space is pretty interesting - you have a handful of relatively "normal-looking" (e.g.: Nokia XR20/21) offerings, particularly in the lower/middle price tiers, and the rest are all styled with blunt force trauma in mind, including some real chonkers that pack 20000+ mAH batteries and come in at over a pound. 5G isn't a given, even in some of the pricier offerings and OLED panels are pretty rare. Also, lots of Mediatek SOCs.

Went back and got me the Ken, Chun, and Dictator figurines to keep this little nigga company. Blanka and Honda were there too, but... I didn't want them. I mean, if only these 6 figures exist, I'm OK with having only the 4 I got.

OH NO, MORE EXIST

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
I want the Guile, Gief, and Sagat. Maybe Dhalsim.
But at that point I might as well get Blanka, Honda, Claw, and Boxer too!

There's also a secret, rare Evil Ryu one.

But only the 6 I mentioned before were available here. I'll keep an eye out in the future in case the others pop up.

I wish there were KOF ones.
There have been kof SD over the years, I've got a mess from... I think 98?

I meant at the place, but yeah I know there's been some. I had a Terry keychain (lost the ponytail pretty quick), and remember giving a friend an Iori one from the same series.

I just bought this radio. If using digital modes with a computer, I’ll be able to send messages all around the world when conditions are right. For voice, I’ll be able to talk across at least large swaths of the country.
I bought a Samsung G9 49" ultrawide monitor because
  1. it's on sale on Amazon
  2. I want to be able to run SDR Console in one uninterrupted 3+' wide gigantic window.

Spent $9 for an Apple USB-C headphone jack to play music from my laptop because I wanted a better listening experience than my laptop's sound card. I put on a CD and was able to hear a noticeable difference in how clearer and louder the music sounded through them compared to the laptop's audio, especially for a pair of Sennheiser earbuds I have that would have the sound of white noise when plugged into the laptop's audio jack. The one thing I don't like about it is that it feels flimsy and delicate, like it could break apart very easily, but I suppose that was done on purpose to get you to buy another one when it eventually breaks.

In case you’re interested, Fiio make better USB to headphone adapters. They also make adapters that will make any headphones Bluetooth wireless headphones. It’s worth giving them a look. I have a Fiio E17k headphone amp somewhere.

I did have a look at some of them before, but I wanted to try something inexpensive first. Eventually I do want to upgrade to a better audio setup in the future. I do have my eye on the BTR7 though.

Can you transmit data with this? I know back in the day you could get CB-IP units but it's been over 20nyears since i last saw one.
You sure can!

I have a module on the way that plugs into the back of the radio and into a USB port on the computer. It essentially exposes a sound card for the radio. You use certain pieces of software that talk to the radio, and you can transmit digital modes like FT8, which is a popular method.

It also has a CW (Morse code) decoder, and you can also transmit your own Morse code with a computer or a key.

Also, the radio arrived earlier this afternoon, and I’ve been playing with it a bit. I’ll go out tomorrow and see if I can make some contacts with it.

Thank you I have been thinking of getting a CB radio (unlicenced in the UK now has been since 08 I think) and I am also looking at getting some higher power kit, an this interests me.

Where I live, there are a few CB repeaters and also a handful of channels set aside for data. I haven’t used these data channels before, though. You may also have power limitations, in Australia it’s 5w.

Something you might be interested in getting into is Meshtastic. It’s a system of completely off-grid text messaging that relies on a mesh system. It operates in the 917MHz LoRa band, so is unlicensed. Meshtastic is extremely popular in the UK, and it’s very cheap and easy to get into. If you want to do anything, I suggest getting into this.

I have a meshtastic node but I live too far way from anyone else to get a message out. I’ll sometimes use it in the city though, where there are a bunch of people. I also want to set up a node at home with an external antenna that might get me enough range to get a message out.

I grew up before the internet and that's how me and my friends would communicate outside of the phone. I wonder if zoomers even know what a CB is.

Thats a good point, I know some do but nowhere near as much as they should do - you don't see anywhere near as many CB radio antennas as you used to but there is quite the healthy community online in the UK for them an some of them are a lot younger than your expect.
