Some things I think are interesting. The account on twitter @OpenSourceZone shows that in 2020 women made up 56% of early votes and only 53% this year. I can't find the source for the 2020 numbers but the 2024 is correct. Link to tweet and Archive

Another thing I think is interesting is that Texas and Florida are outperforming California and New York. New York in particular is failing to get early vote turnout.

2024 early voting

El Trumpo strikes me as the kind of person who can recognize that, despite loving dogs, he has neither the time or attention to properly raise one and he won't just shove rescued German Shepherds into a chaotic environment like the West Wing for the photo op.
Of course. Same reason Biden's dogs kept biting so much they had to be removed.

I feel if you don't vote, you also forfeit your right to complain about the state of your country/state/county, whatever the election would influence.
The guy who made the video says "If you don't vote you can't complain" is some kind of canned response. Not voting as an idea is very risky even if pursued as a general political strategy. If you want the current candidate to lose then another more suitable one will take their place how do you guarantee that? It leaves too much up to the unknown and the uncertain.

Let's be realistic here and say if Trump does lose what kind of message would that send to the Republican Party that as it stands currently is built around him? Besides worrying about a potential Harris presidency such an event would also vindicate people like Liz Cheney and her father as well as politicians like Mitt Romney. There is a good chance the Never Trumpers and neoconservatives could come rushing back in to once again acquire political prominence.

Again, of course. They deflect like this because self-awareness is anathema to them. They think the country can survive being run by children for decades? Don't answer that.
It is really telling how both the shitlib boomers and younger proggies I know IRL will bring up the election and immediately deflate when I don't reassure them that it's all going to come up Kamala.
There is a telltale enthusiasm gap and ballot counters are going to have to overcook the printer to forge the support they want.

Yall talking about food and booze is making me jealous, I gotta get up super early to vooote then head off to work til 2am. I think its going to make the work day go by like a flash though. Bringing my speaker to blare the news coverage.
The anticipation is like being a kid on Christmas eve.

I think of it like this: somebody asks you where to go. Pizza or tacos. You don't vote, your choice is not picked. How would people know what you wanted or not? Why complain if you could've done something productive before hand?

Never Trumpers will never go away. They don't vanish into the ether, they're human beings with careers, friends and aspirations. They also predate Trump as a political entity. They will either be around going "I told you so, now let's go back to Bush style neoconservatism" or insincerely latching onto Trump boomer fads to try and gain prominence there. But these miserable people who shit up the political atmosphere aren't going anywhere until old age or long knives get them.

The video I (and someone else) linked that a couple people didn't like is basically saying that voting is complying with a system where both sides are comped by Israel, and is just encouraging a shifting Overton window where the liberals of yesterday become the conservatives of today. This was once considered a cynical yet smart take until figures like Catboy arrived out of nowhere to repeat it while Roman saluting and bouncing on black dildos, thus making it unappealing.
