The good news is that we're past it and talking about vidya and sports and shit now. We don't want politics to get in the way of our friendship.

The election was all people were talking about today - coworkers, clients, people in public. They're setting up the voting booths now at some of the local centers and people are really getting involved, overheard one guy asking if he could vote for Trump with a felony, "felons gotta stick together" lmao

The energy this time feels very different than 2020, it is more what 2016 felt like. I really hope we get an overwhelming victory and flip a blue state like VA so we can call it early, but he seems to have a better variety of paths to victory now. A lot of the leftoids really seem to have resigned themselves, the typical boomerlibs are still on Facebook and X gloom posting about Literally Hitler but I see very few comments where they're proclaiming a Harris victory as likely. The youtube vids where JD Vance did his interviews are full of "wtf they said this guy was weird?" type comments, while the Kamalasisters seem to be rarer and rarer in the comments.

So what are y'all drinking tomorrow? I might afford myself a nightcap or two of kraken regardless of how things go but I know there are probably some of you with iron livers who will be drinking either out of celebration or to calm the nerves.

The marketplace of ideas was only used as a selling slogan to get people to think something is free speech.
The problem is the left has made the argument of "if you use hate speech you're a bad person." The argument is if you use any hate speech you're am oppressor who wants to kill people. Hate speech being any speech that is critical of a nation or group.

Most people will label you a nazi and you don't want to be a nazi do you.
It's sad to say this but most people want to be on the good side and being on the good side matters more than freedom.

Either hot chocolate with rum or cider with rum, depending on my mood/relative chilliness. I’ve got Blackheart in my pantry but Kraken is good stuff too.
