This is incredibly niche historic knowledge, but during the Roman Republic all the official coin mints were supervised by a team of three moneyers (appointed for one-year terms) and they would plaster the coins with overt political messages to advocate for taking certain actions on matters they felt strongly about, or to advertise their relatives who were running for office. Branding Rekieta LOTY 2024 when the vote hasn't even happened yet feels like a pretty fun unintentional harkening back to that, although I do actually agree he deserves it...

Sure, but every meal need not be perfect. Needs a salad - with spinach. Spinach, onion, peppers, heritage or grape tomatoes, and a simple mustard vinaigrette (olive oil, red or balsamic vinegar, pepper, oregano, basil, parsley, brown mustard, garlic, shaken - better with shallots and fewer herbs but I'm going basic), feta and/or croutons if you must. Make the salad bigger than the pasta portion and you have a respectable meal (and I'm not kidding - that sauce recipe is the easiest and best - 3 ingredients, protein be damned). Heavier protein the rest of the day is fine.

I'd guess they replaced the counters bc in that series of photos (that your island pic is from) the counters behind the island were also tiled with a wood edge, like the island in that pic, but in his streams in the last year or two I believe the back wall counters were a (thin - WHY) solid surface in I think a cream color.

There doesn't need to be a coin every year and it's LotY which commemorates who fucked up most in a given year. Coins are a popular form of merchandise but their production and distribution hasn't exactly been smooth sailing in the past.
