Holy fuck this thread was a beast to catch up on. I early voted Friday in my bug hive district and I really felt like I had to hide my ballot as much as possible because I voted straight red. I'm a registered dem so it will show as a blue vote. That said today is going to be entertaining. Either we're gonna get WW3 or a civil war.
Very confused how Coconut Joy or Orange Man winning leads to the Chinks making their move
Though they are very proud of the grenade sniper rifles they came up with.

I should have posted this earlier but I found a helpful dem guide for what not to vote for online in case of you are confused about judges amendments and such. Just vote the opposite of what they recommend.

It's not perfect but I figure it will help clear up some confusion.

Newsom could not win this election. I doubt he could win at all at this point. He's too much of a leftist shill and everyone sees it. He's done too much damage to California.

I will laugh my ass off if Nancy pelosi was Short sighted enough to withdraw support from Harris to pave the way for newscum. That wet blanket couldn't even beat desantis at his worst. Vance would murder his record with a smile on live TV.

One less vote for Kamala, lfg!
dude the people freaking out that not voting = voting for kamala completely do not understand why i don't vote.

I do not believe the system exists. The electoral system of the United States is a collective hallucination. I do not believe that there a single direct correlation between the physical act of voting and the numbers that are tallied. Every single electronic vote is discarded without being written to memory, identical to how voting down a comment on YouTube triggers no network event and is just an illusion on your screen that makes you feel better. Every single paper ballot is burned.

I'm not exaggerating. It's not a joke. I do not believe that there is a single vote in the United States that is counted towards electing a candidate. Every single "My Vote Counted" sticker is a lie. There is no genuine connection between the ballot and the results of the election.

Instead, turnout is counted, and turnout represents approval of the status quo and the system. They do count these votes and do account for fraud when counting them. This is the vote that actually decides if policy meaningfully changes: the binary action of voting. In 2020, 66% of the US voted. This is 66% of the US population telling the Federal Government they support the continued existence of the Federal Government, and that they believe democracy works. I was a part of the third of the US that does not believe that. I do not believe in the US Federal Government and I believe the sooner it collapses, the better. So, I indicate this to the government by not voting.

My brother has very little interest in politics outside of 2A issues and never voted in his life, and he confided in me about voting for Trump yesterday in our ultra blue home city. It made me wonder how many adults are voting for the first time this election because they’re just that conscientiously revolted by Harris (and Trump too, I guess, but it seems like a lot of disaffected normies would rather remain neutral than drink the TDS koolaid if early voting is anything to go off).

Was a joke, I didn't say not voting is a vote for kamala, it's your choice. If the US system was fair there would be multiple layers of representation across many party and ideological lines instead of the entrenched disgusting system that exists now. It's DISGUSTING that over $2 billion could've been spent on a failed campaign and billions more go to Ukraine while jobs are shipped overseas and people get poorer.

It's not linked to a novel it can butcher
Eh some Bond films can be improved by using the book (From Russia With Love, actually all of the first four Bond films, the titular sequence in The Living Daylights, hell the writing hacks that plague Bond today got bailed out in 2006 with Casino Royale being made available for adaption). If a novel is butchered it is often because they take only the superficial elements of the book and insert them into an inferior structure.
Problem with Diamonds is they mangled the plot of the book, which was a great crime thriller with spy elements, just to compensate for mangling the Blofeld trilogy.

I'm surprised they aren't remaking them. I would've have figured that had to be in their minds at some point
I don't remember very much about Diamonds the novel (something about horse racing? How did those Spang dudes die again?) and a simple smuggling ordeal would've seemed like an anticlimax to the Bond-Blofeld beef. I wouldn't mind, however, if EON said something along the lines of "look, we're struggling to put Bond 26 together, but to tide fans over, we'll do some small-budget adaptations of literary Moonraker or whatever."
