People shouldn't fight ideas like Null's. If you believe differently, you should consider Null's post a symptom of a tremendous problem. Doubters in any idea or occurrence aren't swayed by people being bigger and bigger assholes to them and mocking them.

Maybe, here's a crazy thought, if we want people to think voting isn't completely inconsequential and unrelated to real life, we should put our heads together and come up with some actual reforms and checking procedures anyone can use to encourage more people to kick the tires and make sure it's as real as we claim it is.

Calling someone a retard for having a valid concern is just kicking your own side of the argument in the balls. This is exactly the problem with both the political parties in our country: whenever there's a valid criticism, they can't say "hey, you know what, valid point, let's make sure our law puts in provisions to address this criticism so that the problems you foresee are less likely." They have to just call the other side retarded Stalin Hitler commie fascists.

Everyone's so fucking brittle. It's okay to say "if people don't believe x, maybe we need to do a better job proving it" instead of just shitting on the critics.

I think null's 1) and 2) would have been resolved better if Trump had actually made Barron the Chief of Cyber, perhaps this time

he wasn't restrained, he just didn't fucking do it, because those things would actually harm the system. The system has to facially care about the constitution so they can't outright censor things, which is why they use businesses that are de facto monopolies to do it.

What would the alternative lead to though? Didn't Obama fuck shit up by handing power to ICANN? Would Hillary not be worse in every regard? Has Biden not been worse in every regard?
