"His whole channel right now feels like it has that Money Laundering Storefront Vibe-Style-Esque"

It's like if you went into an Eyetalian restaurant right, and you asked the waiter "i'd like spaghetti like my mama used to make" and the owner comes out and says "fuck you, that isn't on the menu quit asking. if you like the menu, there are plenty of ways to support. you can leave a like, which doesn't help me financially but will make you and me feel like we're normal people, or you can leave a super sticker, a superchat, a membership, gift a membership BAWmb or you can leave a tip. Tips are preferred because I can spend that right away on myself and not back into the business." and then someone sits down at another table and orders the special, and the special is just a bowl of slop, and they start eating it and laughing at you for wanting spaghetti and hand the owner $300 while their children watch outside the restaurant crying.

I think Phil's decline in views is a combination of:

1) Phil is most funny when he's desperate for money. We're being deprived of that, which I recently posted about.
2) He has alienated his core base that hate drama and just want to watch Phil play games.
3) Derich was honestly a reason some people watched because he was the most visible dent that everyone can laugh at.

Phil is such a bizarre, fascinating creature that I'm here for the long ride. Whether it's raging at fighting games, making ridiculous shit up on the spot and contradicting it within the minute, trying to act human. A decline that does not end.
There was a car pileup. Then more cars came. And more.
And more. And more cars keep coming and adding onto the pile. It just does not end.
That's Phil.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to join the Doomsayers quite yet...or at least I'm not about to start crowing from the rooftops yet. However Ickle Philbert has really kind of fucked himself chasing short term profit versus long term, albeit slowly declining, viability.

Recent mistakes:

1. Combining his income streams (Tips, Superchats, Subs, etc.)
Why did he do this? Just to own the detractors? Soothe his ego? Convince the Kino Cucks that he is a real succesful monkey?
This de-incentivizes his dents from tipping which as we all know is the liquidity of his business and it also seems to ensure that he hits his goals early at which point he tends to get hard stuck there.

Many of us think that he uses his various monthly payments to pay all his bills and living expenses and uses his 'liquidity' for all his frivolous (Gatcha and Glug-Glug) spending. Since he has record low tips, from what I've gathered, Philbert needs to be careful in his spending and actually create and maintain some sort of budget otherwise he could very quickly end up out of money if he isn't careful when dipping into his monthly payment for 'Super Happy Funtime Funds'.

His stopping the daily incentives was probably a mistake as well. Unfortunately his ego needed massaging and reassurance that he is in fact a mature adult hooman male.

This was probably one of the biggest problems he brought upon himself. I'll be interested in seeing what happens when he tries to separate the donation pool again. I'm hoping for and expecting tears.

2. Drama baiting
He has taken a dramatic shift into the 'drama sphere', something he has always flirted with but vociferously denied having any part of or interest in. However we all knew he was a Gossipy Gerty not very deep down inside. The problem is his audience isn't really interested in that sort of thing...or possibly mentally equipped to engage with it and derive entertainment from it.

3. Trying to expand his audience and instead replacing his devoted dents with fair-weather Kino faggots.
This ties into the previous point. Due to his trying to shift and cater to a new audience he is starting to really piss off some of his true blue fans. He has done similar things from time to time and rarely ever reaches the heights he held before.

4. Trying to force his new King persona.
He really doesn't have the charisma for it and can't seem to keep it up for terribly long. Also going full mask off and being an overtly demanding piece of shit is going to hinder both retention of existing viewers and acquisition of new viewers. You get more bees with honey than with vinegar and all that.

I also kind of feel like the persona drains him to keep up for any length of time and may have contributed to his increasing negativity and low energy game playing...well even lower energy.

2, 3, and 4 results in his core audience being alienated and driven away by his content. Not good Philbert.
I'm sure there is more I could touch upon but I've been only catching up with the pigroach in spurts since his whole Kino arc was only really entertaining for a brief time for me.

So in short, while he hasn't burned his business to the ground, he has started a fire and has likely accelerated the decline thanks to his recent actions.

Of course we've all done this song and dance multiple times over the years and yet he is still here...

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Don't forget 2 really important things:
  • He is apparently taking 2 days off now or will be doing so shortly, this may hasten things even more.
  • Once you lose popularity/income as a livestreamer or youtuber it is really, really, really hard to get new viewers or get that attention back. It's one thing if you're a much bigger YouTuber who has done tons of collabs and has a good reputation but DSP doesn't have that to fall back on. He's already totally exhausted his value as a guest on basically any podcast (unless he swallows his pride and starts going on detractor streams).
I don't recall in all of the time that I followed Phil that he "lost" popularity or relevance quite like this. There were of course days with low tips or low views but detractors were always restreaming and tweeting about him constantly regardless of that. Now the detractors appear to be less interested in him and some people have said some prominent commentators have just stopped covering him for a while now.

People in the last few pages have said both that they've never seen his views this low before and also repeatedly emphasized that his tips are basically only being propped up by 3 people currently.

Can he even make a comeback if his income falls a bit? I'm really beginning to think that is not going to happen. There's not much he can say to get people interested again and now everyone knows generally that he is a scammer and a liar.

There's of course those wildcard options of bad health or something in the house fucking up, but he has no backup option at this time. Him fucking with his streaming persona and the WWEC reveal and everything combined may have inadvertently pushed him not only into an
"accelerated decline" like you suggest, but heading towards the point of no return.

If he can only stream to like 100 people then he is royally fucked, he can do emergency streams and shit like that, but there's no way to go from 100 viewers back up to 3-400 viewers.

...As I write this he's doing his prestream to only 240 viewers... it will be interesting to see what happens.

I will say this much: I’ve learned to never underestimate Phil’s ability to be a psychopathic retard. I think if things continue to spiral he will get more desperate, meaning he will lash out more and have more extreme blunders. Maybe there will be an end, but I think it comes with a shower of gold dust rather than an impotent whimper. His ego is still too large to just sink away without some major event to draw interest back again. Maybe if things get bad enough financially something like Kat leaving becomes possible. If that happens shit would get really fun for a second

DSP will officially jump the shark if he goes on That Being Said. Alright? Mmkay.

If they’d even have him. ALT seems to like keeping him at a distance and just laughing at him. He clearly didn’t like it when Phillip mentioned them the other week.

They know what’s entertaining and they know Phillip is cancer to entertainment.

I interpreted it as ATL not wanting to be cringe and make a big deal about Phil “finally noticing them”, or something of that nature. I think they’d leap at the opportunity for Phil to go on TBS, which I believe would be incredibly entertaining so long as Steve didnt end up trying to command the conversation and moralfag over stuff. Meerkat and ALT debunking Phil to his face would be a lot of fun imo

Yes, he made the same "mistake" with the JoonDoc as he did with the Bank Leaks. Instead of calling them biased slander and ignoring them, he had to try and finesse damage control (which as Howard said he sucks at) and play victim to turn it into tardbux income. He's a spending addict/alcoholic, he can't help himself.

Probably true, and there's no point in having any kind of serious conversation either. His methods go like thus - if one step doesn't work he moves to the next:

1. Relies on you being stupid/ignorant
2. Plays stupid himself/pretends not to understand
3. Changes the subject, strawmans, filibusters on non-sequiturs, "whataboutisms"
4. Agrees with you then immediately contradicts himself by giving a counter-argument/narrative
5. Agrees with you on Tuesday, but then comes back the next day as if yesterday was deleted from existence. His desired narrative just jumps from as it was on Monday right to Wednesday.

What I find funny is the way he behaves is the same reason he says he stopped watching WWE wrastlin', there's no continuity. There's no point of you streaming "full time, 6 days a week" if you to act like 3 different people in 4 different timelines at any given time.

I think the bigger problem is how bad he is at it. I'll take the L because during previous Phil speculation I always thought he could actually improve his channel by embracing drama. Like you said, he loves gossip and is equally happy to look down on anyone and celebrate their failings whenever he can. And you'd think with his love for wrestling, he'd at least have a general concept of how to cut a promo on someone. But...he's so bad at it. I think there's a few big factors at play. His gin addled brain just naturally means he isn't exactly firing on all cylinders, but his hermit lifestyle really has curbed his social skills as well. He's gotten too used to just being able to manually lean in ban someone and call them a moron. He's also become so sterile and afraid to take any chances, so his insults feel lazy and lifeless. We won't get the old keyboard warrior style rants from DSP of old because he's "matured" which, ironically, means getting much more scat based/schoolyard style insults instead.

Phil isn’t a political guy, and he’s not doing hack election coverage like those other bums. That’s why he’ll be going on KC tonight to cover the election with his good buddies!
Maybe this will jump start Phil's Kick exclusive political show. Within the year he'll be on with Adin Ross which either means things have gone very well for Phil or Adin Ross fucked up in ways one can not even imagine.
