Very interesting see redditors flail. I'm paying 0 attention to any MSM, and instead listening to Baris's stream. So I assume their angst is coming from their MSM programming. It's a very abstract way to see what messages the talking heads are preaching.

Okay, I'm finally caught up AGAIN. God damn. Making this hard on me, fellas. Comfy thread, you all don't mind if I pop a squat and watch people lose your minds, do you?

Whatever the result, it's going to be one hell of a show. Honk honk!

I thought it was going to be a close race no matter what way all this goes.

Even if Kamala wins, I want team blue to fucking cry that they didn't absolutely demolish. I want them to be scared that they can't just bully Republican voters.

I look at elections on timelines, not just snapshots.

Even though Decision Desk called VA for Kamala, Trump has closed the gap with 0.3% and we're still halfway done with the votes.

To provide a bit of an explanation for the 70% thing, its basically the cutoff that you can tell general trends and where the swings will have more meaning. In short, its the point where it is easier to make predictions and understand for people who don't have additional data on the electorate in the area. Decision Desk and AP have additional information about what expected votes are outstanding and can usually call sooner but for us sitting here just watching the results come in... 70% is the point we can actually start making calls.
