It varies based on which Amish community, but a lot of them do allow for the use of modern technology so long as provision is made that it does not intrude on their way of life, get in the way of family, or become a cause for pride. There's Amish communities where they have computers, but they keep them in the barn like any other tool.
That's honestly the way modern technology should be seen: a tool that shouldn't interrupt the flow of everyday life barring emergencies.

They actually already kinda do allow modern technology. It has to be approved by the elders first and most of it gets tucked away in a shack if it's deemed too distracting to be in homes. They even have their own Amish-friendly versions of things like crank powered Linux laptops.
I heavy I think I remember seeing a green plastic crank powered laptop, I thought that was for kids in developing countries
